4.27.18 Fun Friday!

6 AM: 3100m of swimming with a bunch of hard 100's

Four hours in the hot sun on the field with the kiddos for Sports Day. At least a lot of the games involved water and I took advantage of multiple opportunities to get wet!

Big training weekend here too with long run tomorrow and brick Sunday. At least it is a four-day weekend!

The tree is finally gone! Well, except for a few small piles of twigs that I am going to have our daughter pick up...

It was a beautiful day yesterday, so I got in a 31 mile bike ride. Saw a couple of ladies looking at one of their bikes, so I asked if they were alright. They were, and then proceeded to talk with them for about 15 minutes. They were very new to cycling and had lots of questions, especially about the trail we were on.

Today isn't quite as nice out, but it is still going to be a great day. I am planning on running a few miles either around the neighborhood or down the other bike trail.

5:15 AM:  Long Run, 93 minutes, 13.2 miles, w/ 15-30 second fartleks scattered between the 50-66 minute marks.

Temperature - 45 deg. F

Surfaces - Pavement (25%) and dirt roads (75%) 

Shoes - Asic Kayano

Atire - shorts and a tee shirt (with a head lamp)

60 minute run this afternoon. Forgot to take a hat or visor with me so I was constantly having to wipe sweat from my eyes. I've never understood how some people can run without wearing a hat, visor, headband, etc.
