Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I made it back into the black. And then I upped my goal so I'm in the red. On Sep 5 with a goal for the year of 500 miles, I was 34 miles ahead of the pace rabbit. Changed my goal to 600 miles and now I'm 34 miles behind the rabbit. I feel pretty good these days - generally I'm running a shorter distance per run, with more runs per week. I'm slower than I used to be but my knees and ankles feel great. Don |

Keep up the good work. We are in the final stretch as we move to the last quarter of the year. Keep it up. |

Master ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Broke through 1k this morning..probably the longest stretch of not trying to run through one injury or another in years and years so I'm seriously going to count that blessing. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Originally posted by JBacarella Welcome to the group! Thank you! Currently just building my base up, but so far so good. I've not been this consistent with my running before, and I'm also about to add swimming back into the mix (hoping for a a couple tris next year). I really want to do a full marathon next fall, as it would be my first full, after having run multiple half marathons. |

It just takes 19.25 miles a week to reach 1000 miles in the year. It's been a while since I've looked at a marathon training plan, but the lowest mileage I've seen had a peak of 35 miles. You've got it! |

Don't forget to keep up with strength training while you're at it. ![]() |

Extreme Veteran ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Hey all! Hope everyone is doing well. I hit 1000 miles earlier this month but that isn't all running. About 600+ is running while the rest is walking - some are meanders for health sanity during a pandemic, some are with an acholic drink in hand, and some are long trail walks. Since hubby and I have started a lot of trail walks lately and I want to keep the running up, I'm going to increase my goal on the ss to 1200. Have a great weekend! |

I'll live through my run shortage this year by running vicariously through you, hehe. However, I did alota bike trainer rides as you may have seen in another challenge thread here while also focusing on restoring my 1962 Ford Falcon Futura that has been sitting for 15 years. ![]() |
