It's a blizzard here! But I weighed in anyways!

Last week:  138.4

This week:  137.6

 Loss: -0.8

I'm happy with this. I'm almost to my New Year's goal of 135! Yippy!

Last: 164.8

now: 161.2

loss: -3.6

How the heck that happened I have no idea. I haven't changed anything. In fact I am doing less since my knees hurt. Oh well I won't worry unless it happens again. Maybe I didn't drink as much water as I thought.

My scale must be broken. After those Holiday parties this weekend, I thought I'd be going the other way.

Start: 186
Last: 178.5
Now: 176.5

Lost: 2 lbs.

I'm not complaining though.

Nice job everyone on the loss or maintaining the weight.  It is kind of a bummer to see that I am down only 4 pounds in 7 weeks but I guess I just have to be okay with that.  Someone at work suggested doing a cleanse.  I have no idea what that is about and have questions with regards to how it would affect my workouts.  I think the detox part sounds good but the accelerated weight loss seems like a momentary thing and then I am right back to where I am now or worse.

With all of the cheesecake gourding I did over the last two days I'm not at all surpised at my gain...however, I'm thrilled that it's only one pound.

Last week: 149
This week: 150

I'm letting go of the guilt and will get back on the wagon.  That was some damn good cheesecake...so I'm not sorry.    No more office parties!! Yay!!  I only need to get through Christmas Dinner and I've planned for lots of healthy stuff with the not-so-healthy so it will be easier to make better choices.

Have a great week guys!!

Starting weight: 186
Last week's weight: 180.5*
Today's weight: 181.5

Total weight loss: 4.5 lbs - YAY!

I knew I was going to be up over last week's weight. I was so dehydrated and hadn't eaten in two days. But I'm happy that I only bounced up one pound. I had been holding steady all weekend around 182, so I'm happy that I went DOWN half a pound today.

And especially since I've added in between 250 and 400 calories each day, trying to meet the recommended range that I got from my RMR test. Unfortunately, when I hear I can have an extra 200 calories, my very first thought is always "ICE CREAM!" And I have to admit that I had ice cream on Monday evening. And half a candy bar too. But it seems to have worked out ok.

I'm thrilled that over-all I'm down 4.5 pounds!

Next week we'll be in So Cal, and I won't have my scale (I don't generally take it on vacation with me -- I'm not that obsessed ), so I'll have to wait until Jan 3 to weigh in. My goal over the next two weeks is to just maintain.

I lost nothing, but I'm surprised I didn't gain. I didn't train or eat like I should. I have been madly obsessed with the girl I am now dating (who I can probably call my girlfriend at this point), but I'm getting back on track, so next weeks goal is 230 to make up for the lack of weight loss. It should be difficult with Christmas, but hey, shoot for the moon and maybe you'll hit a star. It's better than falling back down to earth. (sorry for the lame analogies). I did have my boss tell me yesterday that I look great, that was one of my goals. Also my favorite belt is just about seen it's days since I have it on the last notch and that is still a bit loose. The weight lifting is paying it's dividends, my arms are definitely more muscular. Anyway, good job to all those who are still hanging strong. It is much better to have been working on your weight loss goals for the last few weeks, than to start at New Year's, because at the start of the new year you will all ready have gotten closer to that goal. Hopefully you know what I mean.

Starting Weight: 174.8

Weight on 12/13: 168.2

Weight on 12/20: 167.6

Loss since last week: .6 lbs., Total loss 7.2, YIPEEE!!!

Well somehow I have managed to squeak out another small loss. Friday and Saturday were BAD, but after that I really worked hard on making good choices. Mainly I am trying to seriously decrease my portion size and get in more fruits and veggies. Plus I am working on drinking more water. Next week I will be in Colorado (with dblack1801) and we will not have a scale all week. We should be back the following week for weigh in on the 3rd. We are going skiing with the family and the good news is that we will be getting lots of exercise, the bad news is that when I am skiing I somehow feel like I can eat twice as much. So my goal for my return on the 3rd is to have consistently maintained my 7 lbs loss and not be up.

We should have intermittent access to a computer while we are gone so I will definitely try to check in. This support has REALLY helped me lose this weight. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at first, but somehow I feel accountable. I'm sure it is some deep seated issue of never wanting to disappoint anyone, but that's a whole different issue for my psychoanalyst.

I hope everyone has a nice Holiday and gets to relax a little, enjoy some sweet treats guilt free (and not completely overindulge). I am so glad to be a step ahead on my new year's resolutions.

Go Team SKINNY! Congrats to the Losers and don't get discouraged if you gained a lb or two, this is ONE tough time of the year to be good!

My exams are over, and I have been at my parents house since Friday where it is easier to make healthy choices, than the junk I ate during exams. Therefore I am proud to report:

Initial weight: 153
Last week: 150
This week: 148.5.

Loss this week: 1.5lbs
Total loss 4.5 lbs.

I leave for Hawaii tomorrow and will not be weighing in again until after New Year. To be realistic my plan/goal is just to stay at 148.5 which will not be easy given that I am going on a cruise. Hopefully staying active with surfing and hiking will help compensate for what I am sure will be poor eating decisions.

Good luck all next week, and I am looking forward to checking back in for the weigh in in two weeks.

Well after a week of holidaying in New Zealand and next to no exercise I was expecting a bit of a blowout. Jumped on the scales this morning and registered a two pound increase. Don't get me wrong I'm not happy with a gain, especially when I have a target to lose each and every week, but I was kinda expecting a bit more. So, although I've let the team down a bit, I am not beating myself up over it.

I am also going on holidays over Christmas / New Year to visit family and friends so I have an additional challenge in front of me, and that is to maintain the exercise intensity and get a little more serious with the dieting.
I look forward to posting a loss over this tricky period.

To summarise:

Last weigh in: 278 lb

Today's weigh in: 280 lb

Total Gain: 2 lb

This week:  142

Loss:  1 lb.

I have a hard time believing the scale today.  I haven't been making wise choices lately...indulging and then overindulging.  To top it off, I haven't had a single workout so far this week.  Things are crazy and stressful around here, but that's no excuse.  The good news is I'm getting out of Vegas for a few days, and I'm hoping the change in scenary will do me good.

Cheers to the rest of the Team!  Hope you're all doing better than I am!

Last week 136

Today 136

Same old same old. I am still okay with this considering that at Christmas last year I was around 150-155. I will take 136

Good job to all of you. Everyone is really doing well. I really think that the next week has got to be the toughest week of the year to lose weight- but I know we can do it. And I do know what you mean, Rage about being started on our weight loss now and already being lower on January 1st. Very true.

You all are great and I am so proud to be your team captain

Texmom and Dblack...have a great ski vacation and we will hear from you when ya get home.

And fone, have fun in Hawaii.

I hope each of you and your families and friends have a very happy holiday. Remember, let your hearts be light.

OK, I just had to share my exciting news. This morning when I got up, I decided to break my habit of not weighing on the weekend and got on the scale. I was shocked to see "166.0", Wow, that is only one lb away from my goal weight for the end of the challenge! Maybe I need to redo that goal! Well, maybe I should wait and see where I am at the end of our vacation. Thankfully we are going to be very active on vacation since we are going skiing. Now if I can just moderate the usual gorging I do after skiing, maybe I can hold onto this loss.

Hope everyone is having a nice relaxing weekend and enjoying time with family or whatever you do on your holiday!
