Age Group = F 18-29
Age Group Rank = 217/248
Pre-race routine:

Bagel with pb and Gatorade. Soaked my leg in the hot tub to try and loosen up my right calve muscle. Wandered around the hotel a little.
Event warmup:

Hung out with BT people and took some pics.

Comments:

I never know how I am going to do in a race until I actually start running, and as soon as I started this race I knew I was going to be ok. I kept my pace pretty steady, but the one thing messing me up was my Garmin was ticking off miles .15 before the official race markers, which was kind of annoying. But whatever. Even on the hills I was able to keep pace, which I was pleased with, and the only time I walked was through a couple aid stations so I could drink. My goal was 2:15, and according to the Garmin I made 13.1 in 2:14:42, but that's not official, and I gotta go with the official race time.
What would you do differently?:

Weigh less, count my own splits using the official race markers. But don't get me wrong, I'm still happy with this.
Post race
Warm down:

Grabbed a water and talked to Aaron and C for a few minutes, watched Max and Patty come in (did I forget someone?), then limped back to my room for a shower and some comfy clothes.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

A few less pounds and I probably would have made it in under 2:15, but now I know for Mooseman I want to be lighter, cuz a half marathon is going to be a lot harder after swimming and biking!

Event comments:

There could have been a few more aid stations out there, but I knew that ahead of time and wore my Fuel Belt. There didn't seem to be much going on post-race, but I didn't look too hard. Overall this was a good race.

Polly,

Nice race report and even better race! I wish I saw you go by me, maybe I could have picked it up and finished with you.

Now starts the Mooseman training!! maybe I can get up there and cheer you on. Your Husband could probably use some company on the sidelines!

Great job!!!!!!
