I voted for the "Female fan boat driver who once dated a triathlete."  Let me know what you're doing Saturday night Bear...maybe the two of us would hit it off?

If there was anybody who want to disagree with Bear it would be me as he and I had a heated exchange earlier this week. But frankly, I don't go for the whole behind the curtain dig at others thing. I'm a straight shooter and if I had a problem with anybody, including Bear, I wouldn't hesitate to tell them what I think and I wouldn't do it in a goofy poll. I've done it with Senators, there's no reason why I can't do it with some faceless, nameless guy online.

That said, I love BT.com precisely because it doesn't engage in personal attacks. (Though I don't think Bear cares all that much as I wouldn't either. I, being as self-centered as I am would find it strangely great to have a poll about me). So what if you think he sounds like he knows everything. We all know he doesn't know everything (Hey Bear what's my shoe size?????) But as far as I can see he only comments on stuff he really knows unlike some folks. I appreciate that.

Bear is blunt. Bear is frank. Can't take the heat get outta' of the kitchen. For me, I'd take Bear on anyday to a war of words, wits, waffles whatever. But that's just cause I'm a fighter and not a over or a lover of a fighter. (Bear I think I'm secretly falling in love with you and this post is just a ruse to get you to notice me!!!!! )

Love you too Ovetta! Just work on that math (2+2=4, everytime)

Your shoe size is 8, but you take an 9 in a running shoe.

the bear, he sees all, he knows all

I go with a BOPer who talks a sweet game; and there is nothing wrong with that. Me personally though, I prefer to take advice from the fit, or at least once was fit, fast, athletic guy/girl and that is why a posed the question in the first place. There is nothing wrong with being slow, as long as you are out there trying, but please don't be that slow guy who goes out and brags about how fast you are to people who don't know you. As for the Olympic coaches comment from earlier in the post - although some coaches may seem unfit, that does not mean that they were not former champions or authorities on their sport/event. Again, that is why I posed the question in the first place - I want to know what kind of person is giving the info. I think it is the slow hasneverbeen type who talks a sweet game. So Bear, are you man enough to tell your PB's?

How rude. You DO sound rude. This is beginnertriathlete.com. For beginner triathletes. Or people who consider themselves beginning in triathlons. You seem to think you're better than this... Times? No one has ever asked about times... Yes, times are important, but only in relation to yourself and your own performance. They are not a comparative tool... at least not here. Go get yourself an expensive coach, an expensive bike, a computrainer, and some Spinerval DVDs and lock yourself in a basement where you belong.

And as far as bear is concerned... he spear headed a cheering section for ME personally while I was out pedaling through headwinds @ the Chicago Triathlon last weekend. I thought it was extremely supportive, good natured, and well downright NICE. He posted my times on this website and encouraged people to root for me... I think that's great... and in the true spirit of what this "place" is supposed to be about.

So, all I can say is... stick it.

a small third leg (that gives me no advantage on the run) protrudes between my two other legs. Or are you talking legnth, you sick &%$#, 14". Limp. kidding, but you don't have as liberal a sense of humor as I do, therefore you are most likely offended. Sorry.
