Okay, it seems a little confusion to start - which is understandable as we get underway.

NOTES: No one starts in the negative - you can post 0 weight loss, but not that you gained any weight. The slate is clean as of this morning. From reading what's up so far, everyone is starting at 0 weight loss - we are all on the starting line together, let's see how we do!

Training Minutes is for you to post your training that you have actually DONE during the past week.

If you want to add training goals for the next week, go right on ahead.

The Workout challenge is going to be different every week - and might even be very silly. This is just for fun - and should be accomplished during the week so you can REPORT on it for the official weekly update. Sometimes I think we get so into so many minutes this and so high of a HR that that we forget to enjoy ourselves. So, report on Workout Challenge 1 next Friday, and I'll have a new challenge up for you.

Anyway, make it work for you. If you don't want to do the silly/fun thing but actually want a REAL workout challenge, make up your own, just throw mine away, and then you can report on whether you met your own personal challenge.

Every week I will start a brand NEW thread - so that where we are at will not be lost in a mongo thread, and hopefully that will help people keep track of what's going on as well. It can be hard to navigate a thread when it's umpteen pages, so starting a new one each week will help. Obviously, for THIS week, until the weekly update next Friday, post whatever you want to on this thread. Next week, on Friday, we will start posting on a NEW thread for Week 2. and so on.

So far, the votes for the Team Name are running high for the "Fat Loss Follies" otherwise known as the FLuFfs. Or, FLuFfy, I guess. So, if you want to talk about this on the main triathlon board and make everyone feel like they don't know what's going on, you now have the "secret code."

TRIVIA - Yes you ARE expected to answer the trivia questions - cause we're not really here to lose weight, No! We're really here to participate in a quiz show.

Hey, there's ONLY 7 days left till Friday, are you training?

I'm not an Athena, though. I mean, I am right this minute because my start weight is the cut-off weight, but...

Not that there's anything wrong with being an Athena!

@#$#^&&#% said Kelly, as she rolled out of bed this morning, knowing she'd have to weigh herself for the first time in about two months...

Week 0 stats:

Starting weight, 156.5 lbs (although my other trusty scale said 151, but since the new scale will be the one I'm using, I better go with this one),
Starting body fat (according to the new bodyfat scale) 28% *choke, gasp*

Goal for next week: Honestly? To maintain. I'm getting married next Saturday and there will be a ton of relatives and food around in the next week.

Measurements: TBD (forgot to do this)

Training minutes:
swim - 9 (in last Sat's tri)
bike - 75
run - 70

Workout challenge for next week - 30 mins of yoga; probably would be good for the stress anyway!

Trivia - I like FLFs!

Pets! My much loved and adored miniature schnauzer, Penny, who is 7. She is my first pet ever in my life, if you can believe it (I'm 31). The fiance also has a great mutt named Sparky, who is 9. He's an outside dog and not nearly as spoiled as mine.

My favorite movie...hmm... probably Seabiscuit... or Rocky. Love the underdog stories!

Movie quote: You don't throw a whole life away, just because it's been banged up a little. (Seabiscuit's trainer Tom)

Hey, it's on Friday (and every Friday until 12/31). Which I thought worked out well cause the challenge ends on New Year's Eve - how great is that? Challenge ends, go party!

I saw you already joined the thread, above, so the weight you posted is your official starting weight. Then weigh yourself on Friday and post to the thread. I'll start the one for Week 2 Friday morning... there'll be a Week 2 challenge thread or something along those lines, just jump on.

Woo Hoo... One more day until the first "real " weigh in! :D

Anyone jump on the scale early??? I got on last night and was shocked to see the needle at 180. My goal was to get to 182, from 184 but, a lot can change in a day.

Best of luck,
Rob
