Pre-race routine:

got up at 5am. took a shower. made oatmeal and coffee. woke up bill and malte. loaded up bikes and gear. had breakfast. woke up the girls. drove to the park.

felt really good on this run. stayed with the leaders for the first mile, then slowed down a hair, but kept up with my carrots and passed two of them as we headed towards t1. 36/165 women.

first race on the new tri bike! woo hoo! i was so happy to be on the bike. stayed neck and neck with teresa brenneke, who came in 6th overall woman. she tracked me down after and said 'we need to train together!' good ego boost for me :) 4/165 women!!!!!!

a few people i passed on the bike caught me on the run, but that's no surprise. still felt really good. and had enough left for a kick at the end...but not TOO much. i really felt i broke throug the 'hold back or you'll bonk' thing. 43/165 women. i really really need to work on my running!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

staying out late playing basketball in heels on wednesday night.

Awesome race Autumn!  I think I recall last year you said something about not being able to run sub-8 miles...those days are over...awesome runs...awesome ride!
