Each day as I walk into work from and to the light rail station I pass a pretty nice athletic club, and I can smell the chlorine from the pool.  It makes me want to go swim.  Especially in the winter when it is cold out and you get the warm humid smell.  Boy I wish I could afford a membership there (Pretty prestigous and costly).

Is there something that makes you say, man I wish I was working out right now? Or I can't wait to go workout...

Almost everything, especially when I'm working. I'd rather be working out than doing just about anything. I never thought I'd say that!

My job. Luckily, we have a gym upstairs on the 5th floor, and there's another one about 2 blocks away.

wow...hmm.. when I see a runner or biker outside when I'm driving or if they pass my house. Sometimes when I bathe my son and get my hands all into the water... will want to swim. I love that feeling of water on my body. (not rain/showers, but immersed). It's so odd that I really like swimming now. I find it to be fun in a freedom way. I really LOVE swimming when my workout is about over -- love the fish feeling when I am free to do what I want. Ironically, THAT is when I seem to swim the best (when I'm not trying so hard).

I sit by a floor-to-ceiling window that looks out on sunshine, open roads, and the occasional cyclist riding by. It is alternately encouraging and heartbreaking.

There is a 42 mile bike trail that runs along a highway here and I drive on this highway every day. Seeing the people out cycling always makes me jealous that they are on their bikes and I a in my car.

What about the Moonlight you’ve become friends with?  Have you so quickly forgotten about it?

I left work this morning without my gym bag. I was carrying my laundry downstairs. I got off the elevator, dropped my laundry behind the doorman's desk and started out the door. I felt naked without my gym bag and had to run back upstairs. You know you work out too much when you feel naked wihtout some sort of workout gear attached to your shoulder. That's a good thing, right?

I want a doorman. Especially one who ... does laundry?

I feel naked without a sports bra on. Wait, I am usually naked then.

No, but when I see moonlight I'm usually already training in it.  It's when I see warm, bright sunshine that I wish I was training.  I think last year I ran less than 10 times when it was warmer than 75 degrees.

(this is where all the cajuns and other southerners tell me how lucky I am not to run in 90 deg and 110%  humidity at 7am.  I don't wanna hear it cuz you don't run when it is zero degrees out and a winchill of -30.  Eeeeeaaaaaaaawwwwwwww)

Not exactly -- I drop off my laundry at the doorman's station and someone picks it up. Magically it reappears washed and folded three days later. So ... you only wear sports bras? I hear that's uncomfortable.

Anyway back on topic -- seeing the sun, the beach and the water makes me want to work out.+

Every morning, when my bus pulls into SF,we pass by Aquatic Park, where there's always at least one fool swimmer out there in the cold water.  It makes me miss open water swimming.  (My swim lagoon opens this weekend!)

Then, we go around to the Embarcadero and there's always at least 10 people running.  Since that's where I do the bulk of my weekday runs, it makes me look forward to my next run.

On the way home, as we cross the Golden Gate Bridge, there are always a couple of cyclists out for a late afternoon ride to the headlands or the Paradise Loop, which always makes me jones for a ride outside.  Especially considering that I can only do spin class/stationary bike rides during the week.

When the weather is really pretty and it's slightly cool in the morning, all I can think about is running.

The salty smell of beach sand. (Especially in a Towel)

I do most of my running and a bit of my swimming at the beach.

Days like today where it is nice and warm, overcast, humid, and even drizzling a bit.  I love running in high humidity...or biking...or swimming...you know I think I may just be a lizard...

I too am very jelous of the people who can ride in the day. I always wonder what they do for a living that they can be riding now.

x3!

When one of my jogging songs comes on the radio I try to remember exactly where I was jogging and how I was feeling the last time I heard that song.
