Comments:

This run was a lot of fun! I had some friends with me, which was great, and the post race breakfast was good (with fresh strawberries). I didn't feel particularly prepared (haven't run much since the corporate challenge) but I still managed a PR, and my first AG placing! Not that the race was highly competitive, but my AG was the largest, and I was about 1 second behind #2 (I thought the finish was farther away than it was so I didn't start kicking until right before the end- I felt bad trying to pass her right at the end and probably didn't fight as much as I could have- it was a friendly, local race! Even so, she called me "sneaky" :)).
What would you do differently?:

Eat breakfast earlier, train more, pick a race with fewer hills, and know where the finish line is!
Post race
Warm down:

Drinking water and having breakfast

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Training

Event comments:

Great race for such a small town- It was fun to see everyone coming out to support the fire dept. This is the town where we have our summer place, so it is kind of home. By the way, the Musselman bike runs through Ovid! All in all a great race, motivating and fun for me to PR (and I won a bottle of wine for placing in my AG :)).
