New user 8 | Subject: RE: "Brand New You"-New weight loss group! 250.3. I just got a digital scale last night, so this is the first chance I've had to get an accurate reading. I'll count that as staying the same. Bad week, but there is still time. |

Master 2235 Pacific Northwest | Subject: RE: "Brand New You"-New weight loss group! 181.5 (down 1.5) One year ago I was 238....so nice to look at the big picture! No pun intended. Every ounce counts. And it also takes time for good habits to catch up with the scale. |

Member 26 Maine | Subject: RE: "Brand New You"-New weight loss group! I'm down to 181 this week which is a big 1 lb! I'm rather happy with that since I've been a bit of a slacker this week as far as eating and exercise is concerned. |

Expert 935 South eastern Ohio | Subject: RE: "Brand New You"-New weight loss group! Good afternoon all, Guess it is my turn: Last week:169.8lbs This week: 168.0 lbs (-1.8lbs) I feel pretty good about this and hope to have a good week next week also. I am trying to eat enough as I tend to not eat when it is hot. But I have been trying to eat healthy. And not junk. Everyone have a good week. Chris |

Expert 2189 Dodge County, MN (out in the corn) | Subject: RE: Brand New You in 90 Starting weight= 162 Today= 160 Good start. I started off strong on the week, eating very well and avoiding high sugar/ high fat stuff. Then I slacked off and for the last few days I've been eating like a teenaged boy. Not good. I need to get that back under control. Anyone know how to wire a jaw shut? Pattie |

New user 36 Cave Creek, AZ | Subject: RE: "Brand New You"-New weight loss group! Well, the first thing I did was measure how much the clothes I weighed in with last time actually weigh...4 lbs. So can I amend my starting weight to 234 instead of 238? That said, I dropped to 232 (with 234 as the starting weight). A whopping 2 pound loss... Three big things helped me out...eating several smaller meals, paying attention to portion size (last night's Cubano dinner of black beans and yellow rice was killing me with portion control...bah!) and no nightly Coronas. I hit Costco yesterday and had a cart full of fruit and veggies and a case of Corona for a party we're having this weekend. When I got home and started loading it into the fridge, my wife said I needed to be sure to leave some beer for the party Saturday. I told her I wasn't going to have any...prior to Saturday or on Saturday...I'm in training. She looked at me in shock like I had grown a third arm or something and then walked away saying "Good for you." Now if the party was in Rocky Point, I'd be legally obligated to have a Corona or two on the beach, but at home, I'm going to pass. Today's a free day and my quads are thanking me after the run yesterday...why did we buy a house with stairs? |

Master 3546 Millersville, MD | Subject: RE: "Brand New You"-New weight loss group! What are ya, yella or something? Yellow = need to post weight. Great job everyone - don't discount the importance of loosing even a little bit of weight. You're fare more likely to have success long term with a slow and steady loss, than a crazy fast loss. Bhannas thanks for the honesty - you can do it!!! Joblin, I assume you meant 198.9 and listed you as such.
I'll update again this evening with any new weights. Again, congrats to everyone so far. |

New user 76 Portland, OR | Subject: RE: "Brand New You"-New weight loss group! Start weight 205 This week 204 Loss of a pound. I'm not sure how that happened, as the middle of the week I was up a few pounds, but there you go. I actually didn't have a great week. Missed some workouts and didn't always eat clean. Started to track what I'm eating on fitday. Quite a shocker! Josh, I'm also rethinking my goal weight. 20lbs may be too ambitious, so could you change it to 15? Goal weight would then be 190. That's not cheating, is it? |

Master 3546 Millersville, MD | Subject: RE: "Brand New You"-New weight loss group! Great response for the week 1 weigh in so far! I've sent PM's to those we are missing, and I will post the final week 1 results on Saturday. Seriously folks - no need to thank me... I'm enjoying doing it and it's really motivational for me to be to be forced to look at the chart all the time. Keep up the great work all! |

Extreme Veteran 1106 , Connecticut | Subject: RE: "Brand New You"-New weight loss group! ** WEIGH IN - 169.5 ** I'm still at 169.5! I did really well this week with food, except for yesterday when I was running around with the kids, feeling frazzled and not getting a workout in. Ate junk food!! Must get into the habit of packing a day's worth of healthy food in a cooler and being prepared for any situation. Am getting into the groove of training. Miss it now if I skip a day (other than my rest day). Medusa, Kids plate - LOL. Instigator, What's happening with your training that led to your neg. self talk? Alexander, Sounds like you were tempted at an outing. Were there any other options there that you could go for the next time you are out? I am swearing off weights. Female, but rather muscular. I hear it doesn't help to be lugging around extra weight, and that includes muscle. I'm going to stick with the sports specific stuff. Mitzi Edited by MuscleMomma 2007-06-30 11:59 AM |

In 2003, I was at 175 and lost 27 lbs to get down to 148, which was a perfect weight for me I have gained a good portion of that back and really need to get motivated to get back down! No good reasons why (are there ever? - lol) I am currently at 163 lbs - Would love to be at 153 by Sept 20 - |
