Out this year.

Because Longhorn HIM is the week following, and I probably should be a little rested.

I am doing a relay with my oncologist and another blood cancer patient. We are doing this as a part of blood cancer awareness month.

Since I have an IM the week before, I'm out. But I'll be there watching my wife complete her first Oly and my friend Sean do his first tri (the sprint).

I am in for the Oly.

Is the run map confusing or is it just me? Was hoping to go an run the course before the race, but not sure I can figure out that map.

Briefly considered it, but I'm out. I'm focusing on the White Rock Half instead.

I live in the area and after looking at the map, I would be confused too. The street north of Virginia should be Glen Oak instead of Green Oak.

After substituting that, it makes more since.

From the club on Virginia, head east to Ridge Rd. Go north on Ridge to Glen Oaks. Head west on Glen Oaks to Stonebridge. Head north on Stonebridge to Virginia. Head west on Virginia to almost Peregrine Dr. After that, just turn around and run back the way you came. If you map it out, it would look like a question mark on it's side.

Please remember, I just live in the area and am not associated with the race.

Based on what I saw on their map, the attached route seems to be what their saying.

Is there anywhere specific that the BTers are going to meet up? I was at Texasman and I know there were a lot of BTers there....unfortunately I missed all of them.

I want to finally meet some of you in person!

Last year we gathered on the south side of transition by the tennis courts. Seemed like a pretty good meet up spot.

BTW - it's weird it put out Sprint when I clicked the Racetalk link, but anyway, I am going to do the Oly - my first one, breathe, breathe, breathe (self talk).

Is someone going to have a sign, or something recognizable for the BT'ers. As I would love to meet peeps in person too. (I really don't look like chicken little - lol)

I am directionally challenged (the south side of transition) - something a bit more visible would be better for me.

I will be wearing Fit2Train gear, but so will a couple of other teammates.

I see on the website that the water temp was 82 as of 9/16.

So anyone going to wear a wetsuit ?

not sure if i will, i bought one for this race thinking the water temp would be much cooler, last year think water temp was in low 70s or something. trying to decide if i should wear it simply for the increased speed.

I'm probably not, just because it's not too cold, and since I'm doing the sprint, the limited time gains I might get would be WAY offset by the extra transition time to get the wetsuit off. JMO

I'll be the tall bearded guy wearing Team Ironhead gear and the new BT technical shirt.

Hey were you at the Tour Du France Watching party at David's house?

I have to find the post with the link to the picture. But in the meantime I'll be on the lookout for the new shirt - by the way I need to get one.

More than likely I'll be wearing Fit2Train gear, I'll look for you.
