Alright, everyone. This is it. I'm heading up there shortly and will no longer have Internet access.

I don't think I'll be joining you on Thursday (but I know where you are if I change my mind). I will be at the swim on Friday AM. Still not sure about dinner on Friday PM. It's nothing against you guys, I am just not very social in the days before a big race. Very anxious right now. ahhhh.

Safe travels, everyone!

Safe Travels to all of those already on thier way!!  I am leaving tomorrow and I am NOT freaking out that my wetsuit ripped, was sent in for repair and will be delivered to my local tri shop AFTER my plane departs...  NOT freaking out...  A new wetsuit is fine for your first IM - RIGHT?!

Oh that sucks. Can you get in and swim on Friday or Saturday with the new suit?

I unfortunately understand. My garmin, which I use as HRM, Speed, Cadence, etc for the run and bike just died last night. Perfect timing right?

Here's a few for ya....

1) 2xu elite wetsuit - worn for 2 hours, lost weight, doesn't fit
2) bought 2xu velocity wetsuit - standing in front of lake before getting in the water for the first time, husband notices a small seam split....nice. Call trisports, they put an order in for a replacement - but it's back ordered...finally received it and wore it last night for first time.
3) Last night - going with local tri club for tri practice. Husband to bring bike. Bike was in his car all day....tires exploded.
4) Husband to fix tires last night. Realized that the back race wheel is out of true...now I'm scampering around trying to get the wheel in to be trued up asap...

Ugh.

I am recovering from another 24 hour shift at the hospital yesterday.  I managed about 4 hours of sleep when I got out of work at 7am today, then got myself packed as much as possible tonight.

I have to work 12 hours tomorrow (Thurs) and then will drive out after work.  I probably wont get into LP until after midnight Friday morning, so I will miss the thur dinner, but will try to get out to the lake, red eyes and all, on friday at 830.  See you all there.

I'm up here.  The mountain air was quite good for my sinuses- things are really starting to clear up.  Placid is such a great town.

I'm at the Crowne Plaze, where are you at? No tour here either.  I did see a sign for a bike shop that has it on  .

Going to head to the lake at 8:30 this am for a swim!

Have a great swim guys! I'm here, too (as always) but I'M AT WORK! Boss was on vacation all week so I hoped I could rearrange my morning for a good swim BUT guess who showed up?? Oh well.....I'm fighting some kind of cruddy virus anyway. Probably need to rest.

I would imagine Kenny at Placid Planet (bike shop up the hill off Main Street, and then down the hill on left) would have the Tour playing.

I speak for myself when I say I am not a Barbarian! KissKiss

Just another doping scandal. You're not missing much. Plus there's really only one race that matters this weekend

Heading up later. See you tomorrow.

Great to meet so many BTers already this morning. I think we will see many more of you Thursday.

Sounds like a great group will be able to meet for dinner tonight at 4:30 at the Mexican place.

It is great up here...water is nice and cooler than where I live. My swim went great for me...happy pike day

Water temp FEELS GREAT!!! I don't want it any warmer.....so I guess that's one happy reason to have short summers!!

I cant post pix now I don't have the connector for my camera but I have gotten some pics including...drum roll please...pix of me with Heather Fuhr and Paula Newby Frasier! Both were amazingly friendly. They are in the VIP area. MissBethy's step dad got us 5 guest passes! They were at the table when we went there!

We are going to Mexican dinner tonight. Can't wait to meet some more of you crazy fools.

I made up a really big BT'ers Rock sign for the inspiration zone on the run. Look for it.
