  • Comments: first race from this organizer and am happy; much better than previous guy doing the PUBLIX series. Really nice tech t-shirt, string bag and goodies. Well organized. I just wished they wouldve taken a bit more time with the awards as I didnt even hear my name nor get a chance to stand in podium. Never even saw/met cat winner #688 whom I wanted to congratulate. That said, I am looking forward to my next Multirace event.

  • Comments: decent race as you expect from the guys that have been runing the trilogy for 6 years. not much to do afterwards but this was a quick race for me.

  • Comments: Peter and I had a good time and will be doing a similar tri on Aug 1st, so i need to work on hills to be better prepared for the causeway crossings. Too bad the water was so nasty, but i like swimming in the salt water with its added bouyancy.

  • Comments: I understand that they moved the venue of this race last minute but the issue with the bathrooms really was inexcusable to me. by now they must know that many athletes will need to use the restroom prior to racing and when you have 728 racers and only 10 portajohns there is a major problem. the line was about 50 people deap and all the untis had run out of paper long before most people had a chance to use them...come on multi-race, that is not cool!!

  • Comments: The race director took some shots from racers over the parking fee and some other BS. I think they did a great job and should be complimented in delivering another great race. If they could pull some favors with the road construction crews to get us back to Crandon in time for August they would really impress me. Great job!

  • Comments: I liked the run course better than Crandon Park and I liked the fact that I didn't have to run a long way in the sand to get to T1. But I didn't like the murky water or the speed bumps on the bike course. We'll see what happens for Trilogy #3.

  • Comments: There was a lot of discussion about the change of venue for the race, but I'm fine with it. Could use more volunteers though (bless them) and more rest rooms!

  • Comments: It was my first tri and I was really slow because I wanted to finish and have only been training for a couple months (after having a baby and not having ridden a bike in 10 years!). The volunteers on the run course were only in two places (the beginning and the 2 mile)... I followed all the signs I saw and took the direction from the few people.. but did get lost some and there was no one there to help. I crossed the finish line, but when I went by later, it said I didn't finish. My coach called the director and they said I missed a running marker. Next time I am going to push a lot harder because I know I CAN finish and will do much better I am sure. I am sure I'll do much better next time!

  • Comments: I finished 3rd in my AG; 4 seconds ahead of the guy who beat me by 7 mins. last month and 18 seconds ahead of the 5th place guy who usually smokes me at these events. The guy who finished 6th also usually whips my ass. Every second counted! I looked over my AG results and realized that I beat my competition primarily in transition; gaining a good 90 seconds on them. I can honestly say that I left EVERYTHING I had on that course. I peaked given my current level of ability. I'm sure I could shave 30-60 seconds here or there, but for the most part, that's about as good as I can do on this track with where I'm at. Race #3 is next month and it looks like I've got 3rd place overall all wrapped up for this Triology series...cool! I need to work on running speed and will work this month on improving my 5K time. That seems to be the only place I can drop a minute or two come next race.

  • Comments: My only complaint is the water stations. The first one out of T2 had no water ready. Volunteers were trying to pour as we were running by. The next station only had about 2 sips in the cups. If it hadn't been raining, I would have been feeling pretty badly.

  • Comments: I'm loving this race. It could easily become a yearly thing for me to do this trilogy and see how I improve over time. It would be nice to meet more people too. That will come with time as well. As will my experience and confidence. I learned my lesson about snoozing in and not having certain things prepared the night before. I already know how important this lifestyle has become for me that I was able to leave Sarasota and make it to this event that I had planned and trained for. I love this sport and am loving it more with each event. Although there was a moment during the swim when I was thinking what the hell I was doing out there. But it was only for a moment. Now I have a week's worth of tri-endorphins to look forward to. Step aside, step aside people... new triathlete coming through!

  • Comments: Happy with Swim and bike and disapointed in run...Well don't want to blame on knee just think I didn't put in the effort on run. Went to doctor's this morning and unfortunately looks like some swelling and possibly a small tear. Gave me some antibotics and said rest ;-( and use a brace for a couple weeks. Will be back soon.
