  • Comments: I enjoyed this race. I was asked to fill in two days before the race, after Frank got hurt, and I am glad I did. Great venue, great brunch afterward. I will definitely do this race next year.

  • Comments: a great race for a first triathlon, I highly recommend this race and hope i can get in next year. switching to the lottery system was a very good idea this year.

  • Comments: The 2010 version of this event didn't run quite as well as the prior years, but overall it was good. It seemed a little unorganized in spots, but the volunteers were friendly and attentive. They definitely need more hydration stations on the run, given the number of "casual" participants, and given the heat that normally accompanies this event. While I don't usually drink at the aid stations in a sprint, there were a number of participants that sorely needed them. The organizers could also stand to spring for some more port-a-johns, and maybe come up with a course design that could keep automobiles off the course. This is a great local event.

  • Comments: Overall this was a nice event and they pulled it off with what appeared to be relatively few volunteers. (The camera guy was also doing the body marking!) The police were great at keeping traffic out of the equation and the residents were great too cheering us on, spraying us with water and the like. Nice post-race activities too.

  • Comments: Over all a great race. Rob Hicks puts on a great race for this event. The course is super fun and very fast. The awards and after race breakfast is in the Yacht club and is just outstanding. Very well run and a nice change of pace from some of the bigger races I have been doing.

  • Comments: Too many friends and family allowed in transition area. Turned into a real bumblef**k at times. Course not being closed probably affected people with their performance - not so much mine.

  • Comments: Well, what can I say? Of course I am extremely happy that I won my age group. It feels really good. I had a lot of pressure on my shoulders coming into the race. From myself mostly, but other people had looked up last year's times and told me that I could easily be bringing home some hardware. Knowing that other people expected me to medal made me a bit nervous. But, coming home with a 1st place finish is awesome. I was so happy that Tim was able to see me race and watch me medal. It was a great race and nice to have so many of my friends/coworkers competing with me. We all did so well!!!
