  • Comments: Overall this was alot of fun. I really enjoyed pacing somebody at this pace because it was a very relaxed run for me. The weather kinda sucked, but if it was not for the weather I would not have run it. All the weaving and bobbing and crowds made the course .17 long, but even at that we were well under 2.

  • Comments: Very good race overall. They do a decent job considering the size of the race. Maybe could have found a way to funnel people into (and out of) the stadium a bit faster. Also, I understand the early start (bad weather approaching) but you just can;t change the start of a race like this the morning of. People were still getting off the buses when the gun went off. Even the 1st place overall women was late getting to the start because of the early start.

  • Comments: I understand the reason for the early start but it was not communicated well. They supposedly announced it over the loud speakers but you couldn't hear the speakers unless you were within 100 yards. The potty's were 1/4 mile away so no one knew they were starting early until the gun went off.

  • Comments: 32,000 people! AWESOME, but I might over-estimate my finish time next year so i start more towards the front to have less navigation to do.

  • Comments: always a good race. unfortunately they had to deal with some pretty severe weather this year, but I think their course of action was right on.. i know it pissed some off, but i'm sure it was the best choice in the long run.

  • Comments: This is the warmest day the race has ever had; if I feel this good after that, watch out next year! The only suggestion I would make to the organizers is to emphasize to folks to leave space on the left for people to pass. Everything else was top notch. Honestly, I don't remember much about the in-race music or cheerleaders. I know they were there, and it contributed to a fun atmosphere, but I was too locked-in to really pay much attention.

  • Comments: This is the third time I've done Nashville in the past 5 years. The city really turns out a great race, and the crowd support is awesome. I can't say enough good things about this race. Top Notch! Even though I didn't PR, I was pleased with my performance. I changed my training around the past couple of months with the addition of yoga and plyometrics and could see a difference. I was relaxed and maintained good form throughout the race.

  • Comments: The heat was huge factor. The hottest of the 10 years this race was ran. Event management stepped up and increased the drink stations to make sure everyone had a safe day. I did find that either they didn't plan parking properly or people were just stupid. Many folks were parked illegally, some even on the entrance ramp to the interstate. The cops were rapidly writing tickets and towing cars.

  • Comments: I love this race -- it's my 5th time doing it, and I'm sure I'll be back next year as well. Elite really puts on a great event. Even though the half marathon keeps getting more and more crowded (they had 25,000 1/2 mary runners this year!), they do a great job with the aid stations and have tons of volunteers out there. And the bands along the course really make things fun, too. My only complaint is that being in the middle of the pack (almost literally -- started in corral 15 out of 31), there was never really huge amounts of clear pavement ahead, and especially running with someone, it was difficult to navigate.

  • Comments: This race was very well organized. There were plenty of volunteers, restrooms, fluids, and medical staff. Things were clearly marked at the start and would have been clearly marked at the finish had the rain not forced the organizers to move gear check to a new location (too much mud where it was supposed to be). Elite Racing did an excellent job and I would definitely consider another one of their events.

  • Comments: There were approx. 35,000 people running in the full and 1/2 marathon. They all use the same course until the split at 11 miles. Many of the roads used are the same for those going out of town and those coming back in. With the number of people running it gets way too congested. The race does start in waves, but you still have to "bob and weave" the entire race to make up any ground. The streets were lined with spectators and there are bands every mile. I thought the race was well organized but they need to find a way to solve the congestion problem.

  • Comments: I really enjoy this race.. it's my 4th time doing it, and I plan to come back next year as well. This year they topped 30,000 runners and it made a difference on the course -- definitely more crowded. But with the wave start, I felt like I had enough room to run; only a few times did I feel like I was slowing down because I had to weave around people. The bands along the way are great and the crowd support increases every year as well. If nothing else, I love the fact that this race is Saturday morning so you can go out and enjoy downtown Nashville on Saturday night! Nashville is such a fun town.

  • Comments: The actual race would be great if you live in Nashville and you had the chance to pick your number up on Thursday. It was too much of a pain with traffic and crowds of people trying to go the same place you were going. The race would have been awesome if there were about 15,000 less people. I will say this, it's worth doing at least once.

  • Comments: This is my favorite race to do. The course is challenging, but it's very pretty, the spectators, bands, cheerleaders, and volunteers are great and the weather is usually very nice. I have done this event for the past 3 years and would easily do it every year if my schedule allows it. There is a huge Team In Training presence at this race and lots of camraderie. This year the Team In Traing Tent had barbecue and all the fixings and it was great! I also think this race is well oraganized and I love the free massage offered before the race to help loosen you up and calm down your nerves.

  • Comments: Need more bathrooms at the start! Shouldn't have to wait 45 minutes to pee before a race. HOWEVER...I really enjoyed the race and plan to do it again in the future! Did I mention that I beat Eddie George by 6 minutes? Ha!
