  • Comments: One of the other highlights of the race for me was having my daughter and my friend's son run in the kid's fun run after the adults race. Alexis is 2, but ran the 60 meters with the 3 and 4 year olds....she had a fun time and got some free ice cream afterwards, and got a cool ribbon she was proud of!

  • Comments: I love PickleEvents for getting my backup times. My heart dropped when I realized I'd lost my chip, especially since I had a run and bike PR, but everything worked out ok.

  • Comments: This is quite possibly one of the best run races in the state of MN. If you get a chance to do this one, I would HIGHLY reccomend it

  • Comments: A great event again this year! We were reminded why we declared this our favorite course last year. A nice small town atmosphere and a ton of community support. I placed 9th in my age group again this year, which makes me happy. This is the only race this year where I was faster than the same course last year, so I'm glad about that too.

  • Comments: This is a very organized race, and for a small town the local folks really get excited. I think the fact that alot of the racers are residents (or prior residents like myself) contribute to the enthusiastic crowd.

  • Comments: This is my favourite race of the year. Without a doubt. The support from the townspeople is wonderful. Free ice cream at the finish. What more could you ask for. See you all same time next year

  • Comments: i like the brewhouse because its in my hometown. that said, it bums me out that its getting more high profile. since it made the top 100 list, some things have changed. twin ports cyclery, the shop i used to work for in duluth, has been doing race support for years, back to when it was called the AAA pike lake triathlon. now gear west is sort of taking over. they didn't have a repair truck there this year, so twin ports ended up covering for them, but gear west had a bigger spot on the shirt and more name time during the awards. no offense to gear west, but they really don't have to be at EVERY tri. there are lots of other great shops who want and should be able to help out at events like this (especially LOCAL shops at a LOCAL race). it is also now a usat event, which is okay by me, but again - sort of changes the overall small town vibe. okay, rant over. as for my race...i had a cold at my first tri this year, tri-u-mah. at my first outdoor race, buffalo oly, i was getting over an
