  • Comments: Results are still messed up. I don't know where to start here. They had on the website that the AG's were 5 year increments, but results list by 10 years. Nothing was on the site about Amateur and Elite divisions, but they pulled the people from the AG's that registered as ELITE. I am currently, 9/28/12, sitting at 1st in AG 40-49, but I know that the guy in 3rd overall is 40 or 41 and I am 41 so I am really not 1st in my AG. • Comments: GREAT COURSE. CHALLENGING. FUN. I can't see a duathlon being better designed or run.

  • Comments: Even though I was 3rd in AG, I was very pleased with my result. Jim Hannon 1st in my AG was 4th overall. I would have been 2nd in both the 40-44 and 45-49 AGs and 3rd in the 35-39 AG, so I stacked up very well against the field. Great transitions times. I was not too excited about this race initially but glad I did it. The Pine Island venue is better than Douglas. An additional water stop on the 2nd leg of run would have been nice but maybe not really needed. On second thought, I'm sure the slower competitors who got into the heat more would have appreciated it. I did remember to use lap button during the race instead of start/stop like I've been struggling with. So good job there.

  • Comments: Even with the smaller turn-out this year, it was a good race. It's a tough bike course and a lot of running (for me), but I'll do it again. I heard a rumor that they are moving it back to Labor Day weekend, so that will be better weather-wise.

  • Comments: Good to race close to home for a change. A du is different than a tri, it fit well in my schedule at the end of the year when my swim training has decreased. As this was my first, I would definitely do more.

  • Comments: This was a distance PR for me and my fastest 5k in almost 2 years. It was also Jeremy's first race of any kind since high school swimming. We had no expectations except to have fun and finish. I'm happy with our performance. I'll put this one on my calendar next year as relay or a single.
