  • Comments: An excellent sprint race. Very inspiring as you're racing with cadets, military personnel and wounded warriors. The course is challenging but great for beginners and veterans alike (no pun intended). Beautiful lake swim, fun rolling hill bike course, challenging but doable run at the end. Post-race activities are a bit dull and they could stand to hold the awards sooner than two and a half hours after most of the winners finish. But overall, I highly recommend this race.

  • Comments: From what I could see the race was ran nicely. We were only on a delay of about 5 minutes or so. I can't say anything about the run or bike course, but at the conclusion of the race, the stands were well stocked to supply nutrition and nourishment to all runners.

  • Comments: A very friendly and supportive race. Started 30 min. late this year because they had parking issues and didn't want to leave athletes out who couldn't park - a good reason to be late. Overall it's a very well run event. Lots of volunteers and very organized but still with a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommended for newbies.

  • Comments: I can now say at the end of the race - I Made it Through the Rain… hee hee Barry M. would have been proud!  - IT POURED – no wind or lightening but like 8 inches of rain. All of the rain we are getting today upstate, was in my shoe yesterday downstate! I had a great time though! I really did! Even my knee brace was water logged! I may not dry out until Christmas! That being – it was still a great day! I had a really good time! Karen and Randy- how you did IMLP ’08 I will NEVER KNOW! God bless you- you were my inspiration that day and I didn’t complain a bit! Not a bit thanks to you! At the end your swag included a cool dry fit t, a water bottle and dog tag, some Muscle Milk and FRS. A great time was had by all! I finished 15th out of 26 in my division and most importantly to me- I was with OTHERS!  YEAH!  This point really made my day! Unfortunately Keith and Little Ben couldn’t come due to the thunderstorm warnings and our little guy had some tummy troubles

  • Comments: Let me start by saying that I came Sat. to pick up my packet and saw several groups of cadets sweeping the shoulder of the highway! That was awesome. The transition area had brand new bike racks with air pumps at each rack! The event was well organized and the venue is great. The bike course is great and that is enough to ensure I will be back next year.

  • Comments: Race has many experiences triathletes, so I finished lower than in the others that had many first timers. Cadets for volunteers were all over the place. Gave out technical shirts last two years, this time a so-so cotton shirt. Should be faster next year knowing the course.

  • Comments: Army runs a tight ship. TA needs more space between the racks and it would be nice to see it USAT sanctioned. Overall, it's a great race - nice scenic course and atmosphere. Cadets and all involved work hard to run a good event. I like to do an occasional NY race as it's a different crowd and new (fast!) faces than the CT crowd.

  • Comments: Westpoint is an excellent venue with plenty of places for family and friends to watch and cheer. Extremely well organized. Simply a pleasure.
