Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms Another personal best for longest run today...16.1 miles. Seems long just to type that...I'm so sore I'm hobbling around. My Du I did well for me both runs were in the 9's and I was faster on second than first. My bike was good other than losing my power tap computer that costs few hundred bucks, I stopped and frantically searched as bikers and traffic zoomed by. Lucky I found it and it still works. Disrupted my race for a bit until I got back to moment focus and controlling what I do now. I'm so ready for rest day tomorrow. I normally don't run 2 days in a row and to do 5 miles of run racing and then long run...I'm pooped! |

Elite 3471 Evergreen, CO | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms Strength workout done. Does anyone else freeze in the pool? Last night, before swimming, in an attempt to raise my body temp, I rode the trainer for an hour, immediately changed to dry clothes, drank coffee, put on 2 swimsuits, took a hot shower, filled suits and cap w/ hot water, and swam as hard as I could (which is pretty stinking slow) to try not to freeze. Head and shoulders still cold during swim. I'm considering wearing a shorty wetsuit and 2 swimcaps.... Unfortunately I can't even blame this on low bodyfat |

Unfortunately I can't even blame this on low bodyfat We had one of the heaters broken for about a month back in the winter. Morning swims were brutal. It has been fixed for about 4 weeks now. The water is a toasty 76'ish sometimes 78 degrees. There is no "getting used" to the water needed. Maybe, like you mentioned, a "shorty" would help. |

Similar to buying Generic at your grocery store or drug store. Its decent enough stuff, but no brand cache, if thats what youre looking for. Performance-wise, it'll work, it'll work well, but it may not be as slick, light or certainly expensive as a "name" brand. |

Ya I bought the Forte T1 aerobars and they arn't very heavy (they arn't as light as carbon fiber but they will do) and I love them. I just couldn't find anything about the company so I was just curious. I wrapped the aerobars in bar tape anyways so any name would have been covered up but they were only $40 instead of $100 for the name brand ones I was looking at and they are the same model. thanks again for the info. |

Royal(PITA) 14270 West Chester, Ohio | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms Little bike this afternoon--nearly got run over by a damn fool backing out of his driveway. I didn't have time to stop/slow enough to unclip when I saw him and if I had bailed off he bike both myself and the bike would be squashed. Needless to say I went over to the cul de sacs to ride hills after that a$$! |

Elite 3002 HURRICANE, Utah | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms Ok Im still playing catch up.....boy one whole week sure can mess with your goals! I will have another 2.5-3 hour bike in tomorrow and then am doing alittle 5k in the evening. I guess if I walk the 5k I could get an hour in! LOL nope I want to get PR in that race. I practiced a couple weeks ago and did it in 28.4 and the best time I have ever done on that race is 30:12-they hold it twice a year....spring and fall. Doing a little duathlon with my son on Sunday also so I'll be running HIS pace because we are doing it completely together....i have to get swimming more! still have 4.5 hours to go. But I have 8 more days I can do it! |

Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: Team Amazing Atoms I hit my run number yesterday. Tomorrow with my 75 mile ride and 45' run plus a 1800-2000 yd swim I should be close to finishing up my goals and I'm racing this weekend (double credit). Tomorrow seems like an insane training day...6 hour brick then swim later...I'm sure I'll be feeling nice and perky tomorrow. |
