Now that you have the bike, you'll have to get the doping regimen from Astana and Phonak!
Nice ride, did you lace the wheels, pay a wheelbuilder or buy them pre-built? Have heard mixed reviews on the DT Swiss rims and want an owner's opinion on how they are. Thye look great on the net, but have been curious about durability and performance.
LOL! I don't think it's worth doping to get some AG wins, I'll probably just cut back on the beer and food intake a bit.
As for the wheels, they actually came on the bike and are nothing really special. Just DT Onyx hubs, straight gauge spokes and far too many of them. They are kinda heavy but they are aero. I have not put any real miles on them yet, but they look like they would be a better track rim rather than TT or tri. 2007 was the last year to buy the bike as a package, next year it becomes a frame only deal. I managed to get a fantastic deal on it from my sponsor Cycle to Fitness so I could not refuse.
I'm hoping to get some speedier wheels for it at some point this coming season, but I'll roll on these for now.
BTW, thanks for the compliments! Edited by Nelg 2007-11-29 11:54 AM
