Thanks for starting the threads off again Jens. I know not everybody does (or needs to) but how about a mention in your map page for each stage that three riders can be picked.

I do like you putting all your eggs in one basket.  So what happens if it ain't a bunch sprint? It's the time that counts remember. As Cat said last year, "One from the head, one from the heart & ...", can't remember but something like " one for a breakaway ( or pure guess, keeping fingers crossed)".

With that in mind ~

1/ Cav, my real pick

2/ Chavanel, an early Quick Step win???

3/ Roche, was it last year he tried & tried & tried?

I wouldn't be suprised if Cavendish takes 5 of the 10 flat stages, including stage 2,  provided he makes it to Paris which he said is a goal.

Too early in the Tour for the break to stay away. Did you not see all the sprinters soft pedaling during the TT? If this doesn't end in bunch sprint I'll eat one of Chris' Rapha caps.

I know Jens. This should be a bunch sprint. I woke up in a sweat this morning thinking, "Are there time bonuses on this stage?". I still haven't checked. If there are I've made a real gaff.  Was going to cross Chavanel out & put in a Cofidis rider as last year they were always in a breakaway, none worked from memory, but I couldn't even  pick the one who got away right either. 

I see CHR15 has gone for Moncoutie. See, Cofidis team leader. I thought about being really stupid & picking a Skil Shimano rider, surely they will get into a breakaway just to show their sponsors. After yesterday's talk about Japanese riders I thought about Beppu, NOT for long though!

Cancellara will not contest the sprint with an 18 second lead and no sprinter in sight of him he doesn't need to. He will not contest any of them unless a sprinter gets close to taking the jersey. Boonen hasn't raced for a while so do not think he will get it going till later in the tour. Just my thoughtsUndecided
