Laszlo Cseh of Hungary picked up his third silver of the games - all of them trailing Phelps.

"It's not a shame," Cseh said, "to be beaten by a better one."

Man, that is the epitome of grace and humility.

Are you demonstrating the antithesis of grace and humility by dancing in Obama's end zone before the race is over?  ;-)

Excellant!  And very funny.

"200-meter individual medley but showed little emotion other than raising his left arm when his time of 1 minute, 54.23 seconds"
This just floored me.  To put this in perspective, I swam 3,000 yards this morning in 58:24 and was pretty excited with my time as this was the fastest I ever swam.  This comes to 1:57 per 100.  Michael Phelps swam 200 meters in less time than I swam 100 yards.

Swedish wrestler did that.  Seemed he was mad at the judges.  He had to be physically restrained from attacking the judges, and of course the aforementioned leaving of the medal, after the medal ceremony.  The medal has been returned to the IOC, but no indication of whether or not they are going to strip the athlete of the medal.  I think they should.

That is classy. The antithesis of this was an ad that ran some years back, it may have been Nike but I can't remember, that said "You don't win silver, you lose gold." A slap in the face to the every silver and bronze medalist winner.
