Is anyone else sick of this hot weather?  It's the middle of September, and tomorrow in Augusta it's going to be 96 degrees!  When is it ever going to cool down??

Yuck!  20 mile run today.  I am biking for 45 minutes so it shouldn't be too bad since I'll have a breeze on the bike.  I have to do a BRICK tomorrow, but might slip some trianing days around since it's supposed to really hot tomorrow.  But I shouldn't complain- I'd rather put up with a few months of hot weather, than 6 months of winter!  At least we can train in winter time and aren't limited to treadmill running and trainers.

It's been unseasonably cool here these last couple of weeks -- so much so that the local cash crop is in danger of rotting on the vine.  But, I'm enjoying what little sunshine we do get only because I know what comes next: 4 months of rain.

But I hear ya.... Autumn starts on Friday and there's something to be said about longing to get the sweaters out of storage, the start of soup weather, etc.

75 and sunny in the S-L-C and I think it's hot! Glad I don't live in the humid hot south. I think I'd melt or have to take up drinking air!

Just think, it won't be too much longer and we will be whining about wanting it to hurry and warm up. Much rather be riding when its hot, than riding around with a case of the "snow balls."

True- I don't like riding in the cold, becuase my hands and feet are never warm no mater how well I dress.  I like running in the cold though. I love running in a tank top with a long sleeved dry fit tied around my waist, sometimes shorts, wearing gloves and a hat and people in cars drive by staring wondering why I don't have more clothes on!

I don't think that's what they are staring at...

Ah yes, starting a run with shorts on and my legs bright red from the cool wind. I can't wait to start a run with a long sleeve shirt! And running with a hat and gloves sounds good. But I won't complain about the heat but I will complain about the humidity! Yuck, yuck.

I agree I would much rather deal with 2-3 months of hot weather than the 5 months of cold weather that I left behind in Wisconsin!

There are some hardy souls that train outside all year 'round up here in the heartland. They usually get some form of "hard-core" moniker.

One co-worker commutes year-round on a bike and probably averages 10,000 miles a year. His main criteria is that the roads are clear.

I did a 24 mile run Sat and it was about 96 degrees with the heat index. I'm ready for the cold weather whenever it wants to get here.

Ugh, I am sick of this heat as well. Plus, we have hurricanes to deal with! At least the gusty winds from Hurricane Rita are cooling things down....to 90 degrees maybe! I can't wait for low 80's/70's....hurry up fall!

I couldn't agree more runnergirl, I'm so sick of this hot weather that I can hardly stand it!!  Our heat usually breaks in mid-October but then the gnats settle in really bad for about a month, after that being outside is good!!  It was in the high 90's yesterday and the humidity was at least 85-90%!!  Ugghhhh!!

Why yes, yes I am. This is one of two reasons why I'm moving to Northern Cali (the other being harsh Northeast winters). I'd much rather have moderate weather yearround. Beach weather is practically non existent in the East Bay but that's what cheap flights to San Diego are for.

I am sure it will be over before long.  We had a hint of fall the last couple of weeks and it was so nice....now we are back to the same old HOT!

It is so hot/ humid that you can almost cut your way through it.  For us, SMOG alerts everyday.  Not to mention that if you even think about going outside, you are drenched with sweat.

BRING ON THE FALL!!!!
