Subject: Ladies- what is your favorite brand of comfy yoga pants?
I want to buy some for myself and my sister. Nope, I don't do yoga, neither does she. Ha! Just need some comfy, black pants to wear around.

Also, we are both short (5'2" and 5'4") and we both have hips, a butt, and thick thighs. So slim pants won't work for us. We need something with a wider leg and that will fit easily around our waists (to fit the butt the waist usually ends up being too big).

I am built the same way only 2 inches shorter.  I second the Lululemon, here in Canada they include hemming with their pants.  But I didn't spend the money on Lulu last time and bought a pair of nice Roots yoga pants that have a drawstring waist.  I love them and they were half the price.  Don't know if that helps though as Roots is a Canada thing.  Then again so is Lulu I guess..........

Looked at Lulu pants... I didn't really see a style I liked.

I saw some on OldNavy.com that didn't look too bad.

I just picked up an awesome pair from Target for $40.  They come in regular, short, and tall lengths.  Love it.  I'm getting my sister a pair for Christmas.

I would avoid the Old Navy ones - I haven't had great luck with them. They tend to shrink (in length) well before they are worn out anywhere else and a childhood of wearing too short hand-me-down pants means I am really sensitive to wearing pants that are too short.

I have had excellent luck with the Champion pants from Target and just recently tried some Everlast from Sears (great price, cute styles).

FWIW, my wife likes the stuff by Athleta, which is a womens' activewear brand owned by the Gap. There are a few stores, but they're mostly catalog/internet.

Haven't tried Lulu since I'm so happy with Target, and can buy twice as many!

All right, went to Target last night. I'm thinking the one near my house had a horrible selection.

They were "fitted" and WOW... it showed me how much weight I have gained and how big my butt is! My butt is HUGE. WOW. Not good.

So yeah, they didn't work. I'll look at other Target locations to see if I find anything better.

I love Athleta yoga pants, bike shorts, running tights. Their Yoga pants are super comfy.

I generally wear Lululemon - but with their prices having reached ridiculous levels, I think I might just check some of these other options out.
