I would pass, but I'm sure many of you would do this! I particularly love the person doing it in their sandals.

I would so do that.  But opt for the safety gear...  AND be a little nervous.

Who the hell originally climbed that to build a temple?  That's just crazy.

I'm curious if that is a one way plank walk. I'd hate to have to give way to opposing traffic.

What am I talking about, I wouldn't do that part of the hike regardless!

Ya, I saw that yesterday. Pretty awesome. My first thought was... well they has to haul the materials to make the tea house in the first place. Crazy.

There is another article on this same trail that mentioned exactly that. It is a one way plank with landings in some areas. If you come up on someone going the opposite way one of you has to go back to the nearest landing to let the other pass by.

I would so totally do this hike/climb. Somewhere at the top I imagine there must be a bridge like the bridge in Indiana Jones and the last Crusade. Invisible, but there if you *believe*.

And there's a starbucks/peets/coffee bean on every corner, if you really want to go out for tea

I'm honestly surprised it's not a Starbucks...

What do they say?  It's location, location, location.

I assume they are not banking on general street traffic for business...

I got queasy just looking at the pics. I can't imagine holding onto a chain trying to find a toe hold at that height.

Wow, there is that part where you have to climb up. That would be freaky climbing back down.

You and me both. I'm not particularly afraid of heights, but no way I could do that. It's like watching video of the guys free climbing--gives me the heebie-jeebies.

There have to be some confirmed deaths from people who fell off this. It looks like something that a lot of tourists do that aren't as experienced as they probably should be.

I wouldn't do that in the US, let alone China where I saw enough questionable construction situations to make me wary of even the simplest things.  They have a different standard there.
