Subject: I need a motivating boost...
Hey guys, I really need a motivating boost. I can't really say what's going on but I got two pieces of bad news today, unrelated to each other. Each piece of bad news I would have shared with the 'target' of the other piece of bad news to talk it out but now I can't talk to either person about it because they each have their own things going on.

Nobody is dying or anything like that and no one was diagnosed with cancer so things could be worse. but the combo of the two may be right up there with "major stress inducing life events". :/

I just wish time could stand still.

I guess BT is my only hope tonight. Feeling sad. Just need some cheering up. Funny picture, dumb joke, etc...

Hugs!  I always find a hot bath and a good book melts my stress away. (And make time stand still for a little.)

I'm terrible with jokes- but really enjoyed reading the thread last week.  Hopefully some of those people can chime in.

Ah yes...great distracting tactic...workouts!!

Well I plan to resume running this week, it's been awhile, but I've lost about 9 lbs this year so far and think running will feel a lot better.

Thanks for the comments! I love talking about swimming .

last year, I wasn't going anywhere with my swim and looked into TI.  That really helped.  Posting on here can be pretty intimidating at times, especially about swimming (to flip or not, TI, etiquette, etc.)  Your reply's and advice were really helpful.  I was having a hard time at first switching over, but having someone online to offer support was awesome.  Hopefully whatever your dealing with ends well soon.  best regards.

Is a bad joke motivating or de-motivating?  We shall conduct an experiment.

Why did the Accent Mark (`) get arrested?
Public Display of 'Inflection.'

Feel any better?  Well, sorry about that.

A fly fisherman caught a brown salmon. He exclaimed he had never seen a brown salmon before. The Salmon told him he was very rare but his family called him "Rusty." A couple of years later the fisherman caught him again and said, "Where have you been?" Rusty said he had been on vacation with extended family on a ship wreck in the bottom of the Atlantic where they had partied, lounged on deck chairs, and even wrote poetry. In fact he was publishing a book of poetry next month. The fisherman said "I would like to read your poetry. What's the title?" Rusty replied, "The Titanic Verses of Salmon Rusty."

Better?  I was afraid of that.

I am sorry for your bad news.  There is a lot of that going around.

The hydrogen replied "I lost my electron!"

The bartender gasps and asked "Are you positive?!"

No fishing jokes but I do have a doctor joke.

What drink does an OB-Gyn order?

A shot of Smirnoff and a PBR chaser; a Pabst-Smir.
