No, seriously.

These are my parents, who for the past 3 years have been the captains for the first bike aid station on the course.

That's awesome - I was supposed to volunteer at that aid station but some family stuff came up last week that meant I couldn't go.

A couple of my friends still went and volunteered at bike aid 1 and the last I heard from them, they had a great time.

LOL!  That is so awesome!  I worked Run Aid #4 during the night shift - 8-11.  We had a Christmas theme going, inflatable lawn decorations, Christmas trees and all, but I didn't think to get a pic.

And Chad (Slidell4life) wins for Comment of the Day.  HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

You'll have to look elsewhere. They're going to see about doing something different next year. It's a big task and the location of that aid station makes it even more challenging.

I'm kind of curious, why do they own clown outfits?

I'm actually not really sure where the outfits came from. Don't know if they rented them, bought them, or what.

Probably better off not knowing where the costumes came from or what else they do with them

PinkPrincess... Didn't know we were at the same run aid station / time as a BT'er. Which side of the road were you on?

I sure hope they don't work an aid station towards the end of the course! Runners will think they are hallucinating!

Yep!  8-11 pm on #4.  I was the very short redhead with a nose ring.  Worked the right side of the road (across from the tents/trucks) until we consolidated on the other side around 10.

Great to have that support.  Though, that would be a little scary coming into the aide station for those of us with a little coulrophobia.  I'd honestly probably skip the aide station in that case.
