Otherwise, just say "we request you don't use headphones." JC x2. At USAT-sanctioned events, it's NOT legal, according to the rulebook!! If you don't like rule, complain to USAT. I think USATF is starting to ease up on it, but in triathlon, there's a lot more liability. And I don't understand people who feel the rules don't apply to them, who think they can just break it anyway because they're BOP, etc. I don't care if it helps them run faster or whatever. Slower cyclists don't get to draft on the bike to make up for their lack of ability, so why should head-phone wearers get to break the rules without penalty? If you want to get faster, you need to train more. And that's what they need to do. |
