You know guys...I wasn't going to say anything to anyone but one of my friends who reads my blog got VERY upset that there was something I wasn't posting. So I decided to put it on my blog. You know...I never thought ANYONE read my blog!! NO kidding!!

I am really humbled and overwhelmed by this award. The word "hero" to me is a very powerful one reserved for those that are fighting for our freedom (like my brother in law..5 tours in Iraq) or for those battling cancer (Like my godson who lost his fight at age 8).

And I see all of you as heroes because you are so supportive of people like me who are absolutely TERRIFIED of this race Some of you guys have kicked asphalt and are already Ironmen!! Some of you are approaching this race for the first time with such grace and determination. Now thats heroic!

Again..thank you for your kind words. I know it doesn't sound sincere, but I can't say thank you enough. Every person on this board has been so kind to me...and I appreciate it so much!! Now...can someone show me where the hell the finish line is??? ***ahhahahahahaha****

Congrats!!!! That is a huge honor. And a well deserved honor. Running this race for charity will only make the experience richer. BTW its nice to get that low bib number : ) I was right next to the pros in transition. Good luck, I'm sure you will own the day.

**in my finest southern belle accent** Now sugah...I won't hold it against ya that you're a Bulldog. My mother is a former Miss Georgia and went to Georgia...so my household has always been a house divided.

And then I married the Citadel Cadet(the Citadel Bulldogs)....see...God was determined to get me to cheer for SOME Bulldog!!!
