Champion 7821 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: I think I lost me wedding ring. I lost mine on my honeymoon. We went snorkeling in a lagoon in Aruba, and there’s this really nice underwater photo of me waving to the camera with no ring on my left hand. Oops. On the plus side, that was 17 years ago and we’re still together. |

Veteran 331 Roxborough Park | Subject: RE: I think I lost me wedding ring. Uh oh. If you know you put it in the car, I'd look harder. If you really can't find it, here's what I would do- - Check to see if it's covered by insurance, it may be covered in your homeowner's policy so look into that. - Only you can decide if you should tell your wife or replace it quickly so she doesn't notice. My vote is for honesty but I suck at lying long term. Most importantly GET YOUR RING SIZED PROPERLY. I know men don't like tight rings, but it should not slip on and off easily. It should not cut off the circulation on your finger, but it should take a bit of a tug to get it off. I worked at a jewelry store for a while and you'd be astounded at how many men lost their rings because they wouldn't wear them tighter. You'll get used to it being tighter, trust me. |

It wasn't very expensive. around $100 I think. I've needed to get it sized for a while because I'm down about 30 pounds since we got married. But it's titanium so resizing involves exchanging it with the manufacturer. I've been waiting till I was done losing weight (still have another 40 to go until I reach my goal). I already told her I couldn't find it. Going to go look harder this afternoon. |

My last career prevented me from wearing jewelry (working on mechanical and moving equipement is dangerous with jewelry) and sice I've changed careers, I tried to wear it again but just couldn't get used to it. |

My ring is loose in the winter, but it's tight in the summer. If I got it sized any smaller, I wouldn't be able to get it off when it's hot. My husband is the same way. FWIW, my husband lost his ring for about 6 months. He found it after we had decided it was about time to replace it, but before we had ordered a new one. It was in the pocket of one of his dress shirts. He couldn't tell because the titanium is so light. |

He's a caver - lost one in a cave, and more recently lost one somewhere in our rather large yard while doing yardwork. He's without a wedding right now. After 15+ years of marriage - I'm not too worried about it. I think I can trust him |

Extreme Veteran 589 Gig Harbor | Subject: RE: I think I lost me wedding ring. All you need is an appraisal and you can schedule jewelry on your homeowners/renters/condo policy and that way it is covered no matter what! Might not be worth it if the ring is only worth a couple hundred bucks, but you can choose to have no deductible! |

Champion 4835 Eat Cheese or Die | Subject: RE: I think I lost me wedding ring. Meh. For now I'll dig out the spare. I have one of these But the finish scratches easily so we bought the lost ring as soon as we got back from our honeymoon. Also got the original easy to scratch ring replaced by trading it in for size and I've never worn it. I've thought of selling it on ebay, but it's a really cool ring. It just won't hold up to my abuse. |

Champion 8766 Evergreen, Colorado | Subject: RE: I think I lost me wedding ring. I have an expensive ring I wear daily (not the marriage kind). But it would fall off swimming so I always always always put it in the change holder of my car when I go swim. That way it's always in the same place and doesn't have the opportunity to roll all over the car. So, when you get your replacement or find the original, think of a better place to put it. |

Went for my first OWS this year and took it off and put down in the back of my car. Now I can't find it. I think I'm going to be in trouble. I lost 2 wedding rings in my first 2 years of marriage (that's consistency) once at work and once at home and was not a fan of really wearing it as I never wear any jewerly. I had lost over 30 lbs so neither ring really fit and I did not want to go 3 for 3 so I dragged my feet at purchasing another (not my wife's idea). Then many months later out of the blue a former co-worker where I had lost ring #2 called and said they found it in a box of Christmas decorations that they were putting away (talk about a needle in a haystack). She then mailed it to me at my current job. I had it resized and have not taken it off since and its such a significant reminder every day of how lucky and appreciative I am to be married to my wife. Just thought that good fortune does smile on us dopey males from time to time. |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: I think I lost me wedding ring. Once I FINALLY got mine down to the right size, it was SO much more comfortable. My hand would cramp trying to keep my too-big one on. Of course, I don't wear it at all anymore, for the obvious symbolic reason. |
