The training you do between now and January will be critical to determine whether or not you can run the whole thing and at a relatively stable pace; it really won't make you a significantly faster runner than you are right now. (That'll come with time.) Red and bold excites me. I was not prepared for the run at all at the Oly b/c of achilles injury which limited training. My 10 miler was intentionally slow. I was using it as a training run. Ran the last 3 miles at 8:50 pace, which still felt conservative. In my feeble mind, that means that 4:10 could happen! |
