Tan Lines and Wedding Dress: What to do??

Well, is your dress going to be a mini-dress? If not, then don't worry about the shorts. I really don't think that will be an issue.

Don't wear gloves in the spring. You can get used to riding without them.

As for the top, go sleeveless for the spring training and start now if you can. A month or so before the wedding consult a spray-tan place or hit up an electric tan place just a couple of times. (Yes its dangerous but you're only going a couple of times before the wedding) That should even it out tremendously. Then go to spray tan a week or so before. Not the day before!

Perform the ceremony in the dark.

I agree, hell, I find it attractive and a badge of hard work and dedication. But then again, I'm a man and most if not all men would not have a problem with this. My guess is, you might be more concerned with the women. If anyone is crappy enough to judge you because of tan lines, what do you care about their opinions anyway?

I usually don't worry too terribly much about my looks, plucking my eyebrows is the most above-and-beyond beauty thing I do. When I worried about vanity for my wedding, it was less about what people would think, male or female, and more about a) wanting to feel pretty and b) not wanting to throw up when I looked at the pictures. Mission accomplished, by the way.

I'm usually with the who cares camp for most occasions but it is a wedding and even I tried to get rid of my tan lines for my wedding as well. It is what Kim said, I wanted to look and feel the best I could that day.

If the big day arrives and you've still got some leftover lines, a good makeup artist can work wonders. 

Last big event I went to I wore a dress that was lower in front than I normally wear.  There was a definite "never seen the sun" line on my chest.  A little makeup and powder, and presto-chango, no line. 

BTW congratulations, and I second the sentiments about wanting to feel pretty. 

I hate tan lines.  I wear sleeveless jerseys, but you still get the lines on your shoulders, and I always have lines on my thighs, which I hate the most.   What I have done before is get a bikini that doesn't have straps, put on 50 spf on the already tanned parts of your body and 15 spf on the not tanned parts and go lay out in the sun a few times a week until you are even.

I've seen people with the mystic tan before and it looks really natural.  There are also a lot of spray on tans you can do yourself with the help of a friend, just make sure you practice it a few months before hand so you get it right.  If you know any bodybuilding or figure competetors they will be able to point you in the right direction of tanning products because they use them for competitions.  You can also ask a trainer at your gym what his competitors use.
