Subject: RE: Race shirt = fraud?It only matters how you feel. So if it makes you feel like a fraud, don't where it. It wouldn't make me feel like a fraud. I would think about it this way; if someone in th grocery store says, "Hey, you did that race, I did it too," I can say yes, I was part of a relay team, or I was a volunteer, or I did but I collapsed during the run while pushing as hard as I could. I don't know any triathletes that wouldn't respect those efforts. I imagine an Ironman doesn't want to ask about an Ironman finisher shirt and hear, "Nah, I bought this at a yard sale." |
