Subject: RE: What Day Is Your Rest Day(s)ditto on ignoring the overly-predictable 'what's a rest day?' comments...know that you'll have an edge on those folks who put ego before well-being (you'll know who they are, they'll tell you they are a triathlete within 5 mins of meeting you  for me, best advice I ever got was to take a rest day whenever the hell i feel like it, plan out your week or month or whatever, and if on a day you were supposed to workout you feel like hell because of the previous few days (not talking just tired or sore, but your body is really telling you to not work out ), take it off and (assuming its possible ) re-work your schedule. Just like I'll go longer/shorter on some days than planned, it all depends on how I feel. I'd hazard a guess that nobody on this forum is getting paid to do triathlon, so keep in mind that it should still contain some element of fun! |
