anyone catch last night's episode?

I haven't laughed so hard at a TV show in a very long time.  I loved the scene where Penny gives Leonard the gift.

I was on the floor laughing.  I just "found" this show a few weeks ago and love it.  Best line ever...

All I need is an ova and I can grow a Leonard Nemoy!

"I'm only giving you a napkin..."

I love this show and, geekily enough, can understand pretty much all of the scientific principles they discuss.  Also fun is to read the equations on the white-boards in the background.

One of, if not the funniest, shows on television.   Love it.

for more fun, at the end of the show, if you can, pause the show and read the "Chuck Lorre Thoughts" which is the final white screen with a bunch of writing on it.  Pretty funny.

As for the whiteboard, read last week that they have a guy from UCLA (or maybe USC) that consults on the show to insure the equations are actually correct.

My wife was dying laughing at this show one night.  I stopped working on my math problems long enough to go see what was so funny.  I have to say I was somewhat personally offended that she found that show funny.

It is a one joke show but the writers manage to get the most out of the joke each week.

I must be missing something.  I saw a couple of the early episodes when traveling and I thought it was terrible.  I thought it was canceled, to be honest.

Jokes that were so lame they couldn't even make me smile, much less laugh, and a terrible laugh track...  Maybe they were first season episodes and they didn't have it figured out yet.

As much as I love the show, I agree about the laugh track.  I normally tune it out on everything I watch that it doesn't register.  One episode, where I kept noticing it, drove me nuts.

Is it just me, or is Penny less hot that when the show first started? Still hot, just less so. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Read in an article in the WSJ last week that the show is shot in front of a live audience.

Agree. She looked 'off' in last night's episode. Kinda red and puffy.

I like the show, too, but also wonder how many ways they can tell nerd jokes. Last night's episode was the best I've seen so far...

I have watched this show from the beginning and think the writing on it is great and fresh.  Funniest show on right now followed by How I Met Your Mother.

Me and my daughter watch Big Bang together every week. As a guy who still owns an original copy of the blueprints for the Starship Enterprise I embrace the geek side with much love and affection.

I think my daughter gets more of a kick out of her old man knowing about everything they refer to...

Fave episode is when they get the Time Machine and as soon as Leonard hits the switch they all start moving in fast motion...

I agree. One of my favorites. I'm an engineering geek and my wife works with autistic kids. I like the physics stuff and my wife thinks Sheldon is a textbook diagnosis.

Monday CBS is great. I love How I Met Your Mother also.
