Subject: RE: What is your motivation??Actually, one of my biggest motivating factors is the clients I care for in a long term care facility, many of whom are severely physically debilitated. I constantly remind myself how lucky I am to be healthy, and to not take it for granted and let my unlimited mobility "go to waste". Essentially, I run and cycle: because I can. So I do. Because how regretful would it be for me to look back and wish I had. I had an elderly client ask me awhile ago if I was a runner; I'm not sure how she knew, but I replied that I was. She thought for a moment and replied, "I wish I had taken the time to run when I could, back when I had use of my legs. Keep running as long as you can". So I will. |
