All this talk of The Monkees, Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family has me curious.

For those of us of a certain vintage, after school time meant one thing-- endless hours of syndicated TV shows until the local news came on.

So... which were your favorites?

Just reading your list, I almost overdones on a mainline of nostalgia.

The dorse. Holy buckets man, I haven't heard that reference in years.

I voted Land of the Lost. Opening scared me every time. But about half that list was in our regular rotation once a week. You missed the Thor cartoon.

Sid and Marty Kroft clearly had some hallucenigenics around while writing Sigmund, HR Puf, and a few of those others.

I'm not sure what was the best, but Gilligans island was certainly my favorite and I also loved the brady bunch.

During a recent meeting at work they referred to something with the initials of OSI.  All I could think of after that was the Six Million Dollar Man since he worked for OSI.  Sadly, I was the only one who got the reference...

My and my friends COULDN'T WAIT for the Adam West and Dick Ward Batman...

Same bat time, same bat channel.

Saw an episode the other night.  Some girl gave batman a roofie in a club and he did the "battoosie"...

Yeah, it was-- as originally was The Beverly Hillbillies, The Brady Bunch and others on the list. But I'm sure most of us got to know them after they went on to syndication and were run repeatedly (and endlessly) during the after-school time slots.

But I did see a lot of the Brady Bunch, Monkeys, and Gilligan's Island and reruns of Leave it to Beaver.

I think most of these were prime time shows that were shown in the afternoon once they were syndicated.

Thanks to a $5 find at Target, my 6 year old is a huge Ultraman fan now. He sings the theme in English and a very rough version of the Japanese as well.

GREAT call-- can't believe I missed that one or "Gilligan's Island".

Now I'm also regretting not having room for the original animated version of "Spider-Man" on the list. As we all know, Spider-Man, Spider-Man does whatever a spider can... spins a web, any size... catches thieves just like flies...

Yep, even more to go with Spiderman, Flinstones, and Munsters.

Jetsons.  Oh, and Johny Quest AND Speed Racer.

Shite, I'm beginning to think I watch a lot of TV as a kid.

I could only add one show, so I burned it on Gilligan's Island. The Flintstones was a close second.

No Addams Family (which I liked much more than the Munsters - Morticia was smoking hot)? And what about I Dream of Jeannie? (she was also pretty smoking hot....I think I see a theme in my preferences for afterschool TV viewing....)

Jeannie was okay (barbara eden) but I was more of a Bewitched (Elizabeth Montgomery) fan if it was based on "hotness."

After school tv faves for me?  Scooby Doo, (btw, the new scooby doo is garbage fyi), Happy Days was great, Gilligans Island was great...

is it out of line to discuss syndicated shows that came on around 6 and 7 o'clock?  The Jeffersons, Taxi, and MASH were all great too.

Gilligan's Island
Flintstones

tie for awesomeness.

And if after-school runs to 6:30 or 7PM, you'll have to throw in Hogans Heroes.

Absolutely. LOVE Hogan's Heroes, but like you said it didn't really run after-school.

Still, I should probably spend some in the cooler for leaving that off the list. Too many great shows, too few slots.
