HEY HEY!!! I see LOADS of old faces and some new ones!!

I'm Lynne, 36 year old married Scot now living near Seattle. I started doing triathlon's last year and in total ended up doing 7.   I'm hoping to expand and do bigger tri's this year so I need all the motivation I can get. Next year I'm aiming for 1/2 IM and full marathon. *gulp*

Hi Lynne! Long time no talk!

I am Nancy from the far west(originally from the northeast), did my first sprint years ago, then worked on having children and ended up having twin boys, needed something to keep me motivated to stay fit and healthy so back at doing tri's again, no big plans to do a 70.3 or Iron, but may dive into an Olympic next year.  Doing my fifth sprint this month and looking forward to it!

Hi everyone!

Hey guys, welcome naners to your team, whose goals are being added to your spreadsheet as I type (literally, as I type -- I went in there to update the sheet and Nicole had beaten me to it )

Wow, they're quick!  Thanks MDHillSlug and gillyfev!  Another Hawaiian here...just a little late to sign up for the fun. I was on Hawaiian time . My goals for the month are:

swim: 21,000 yards
bike: 21 hrs.
run: 13 hrs.

It's a little less than my training plan, but this month is going to be a crazy one for me. These challenges help motivate me to get those miles in even if I would rather stay on my couch. I'm training for the Vineman 70.3 in July. I think that training's been chugging along, but I need to drink more wine to make sure that I'm ready for the winery visits after the race. I've been slacking. .

Lake Stevens HIM and the Seattle marathon which is in November. That would be my only two races but right now it's just a thought. Both I would like to do at least before I am 40...

wadup!?!

I'm 29 living in colorado from atlanta. I've got 2 crazy lil daughters (27months and 5 months) and a slap me silly beautiful wife! Umm...I've wanted to do tris for so long and I finally just finished my first mini sprint last week and i'm pumped to do more...I'm going all out.

trying to do a 1/2im this august and then go to ironman ca 70.3 in april 09 and ironman fl 70.3 in clearwater - BIG GOALS!!!! But, hey, if you aim for nothing you hit it everytime.

My goals for may are straight off my training plan and I'll be traveling home to atlanta for 10 days - so i'm going to have to be on it!

Let's win...i didn't come here to lose!

Hi Nalani! We are finally on the same team again! I would have to practice the wine thing too! I am such a light weight.

Hi lyric4christ! very interesting user name! I don't believe Jesus kicked anybody out.

I know somebody has to be faster at making the quick link to our thread, spreadsheet, and teamies to inspire; than me.  I don't know how to make them all fancy and all fun stuff just basic. Thanks.

Hi everyone! I'm a 33 year old wife and mother in Long Beach, CA. I started racing last year and have now done 7 sprints, plus a 5K and some OW swim races. I do have one sprint this month and possibly a 5k at the end of the month. Not sure if I'll do that one!

Hi! Can I still join? I was in a February challenge and loved it!

I would like to do-
Swimming: 22 hours
Bicycling: 4 hours
Running: 4 hours

I'm not really sure of exactly how much of each sport I can do in a month because I have never tried to make a goal for distances of all 3 sports in a month, so I am trying my best to make an estimate!

I live in the USA in Ohio so I would be on the central team?

Hi west coasties

Love these challenges, they totally keep me ON PLAN and training. Like the teams by geographic region too cause I love the west coast and don't want to move away! Lived in SoCal for 15 years and born in San Fran.

Karen from Seattle, 46 yo single mom of 2 (5yo dd & 15yo ds) - my first year attempting tri's and am not yet a Triathlete since my races aren't until Aug/Sept/Oct. Started training in Feb. All my races are sprint distances.

Yes he did remove the people who were selling animals at unfair prices at the temple. but then he died for them/us on the cross!

Hi everyone,

Good to see some familiar "faces", and nice to meet the new one

I'm Roni currently living in Montana and originally from Spokane Washington, so a West Coast girl all the way I spend alot of time traveling throughout the pacific NW with my DH who is a runner and biker, but just won't do the swimming part. I'm heading to Spokane today for a long weekend and running Bloomsday on Sunday so I probably won't be around much for a little while, but don't worry I'll be training. Love these challenges as they keep me motivated and I get to meet a bunch of really cool people. Happy training everyone!

Hi all! I'm a relative newbie to triathlon. I started out with a few sprints and an oly last year, but only trained in dribs and drabs. But now I'm hooked and I'm taking it seriously this year.

I'm 33, single, and just moved back to Denver, Colorado after a 4 1/2 year hiatus in Boston. I'm thrilled to be back in the west, and love being around the mountains and so many outdoorsy people!

I'm training for (gulp) the Boulder 5430 long course (half iron distance) on August 10th. Almost every day I question whether it is too much to take on, especially since I work a lot, can't swim freestyle (although I do a killer breaststroke and can keep it up for a long time), and have never biked more than 27 miles.

But I'm going to give it the old college try! I'm looking forward to having the challenge to keep me on track and to meet new people. =-)

I am having issues trying to enter my goals into the spreadsheet. I will try again, but if you could enter 15000m swim - 200 bike - and 70 miles running. THANKS!
