Subject: RE: So, What's Your Degree in and are you Doing it Now?When I was getting ready to graduate HS in 1985.... My mom wanted me to go into the AF. Not accepted. I wanted to be like Quincy. Not accepted. I wanted to be an EMT like the dudes on on "Emergency!". See above. Mom said "pharmacist". Not interested. Saw the curriculum, yikes! (in my defense, I was 18 and still in party all the time mode.) I wanted to be an Xray tech. Not accepted. I finally got a liberal arts program, got an AA and now have a medical technology degree and a coding certification. I work as a Hematology Technologist. Not exactly rewarding, and depressing at times. Stressful. A lot of times I wish I had my own space, my own cubicle, not having to share everything with three different shifts and not having any personal space. maybe I should of gone the Pharmacy path. Maybe I should of kept the job at the Commissary. NOW, that was a fun job. |
