I mean on your feet. My left toe has been bothering me. More specifically the middle 3 toes on the left foot. Seems to hurt more on days when I am home and walking around barefoot. I have Mizuno Wave Riders. I was fit in them at a reputable running store. Kinda feels like a pain where the toes actually connect with the foot. I am gonna start trying to wear shoes around the house and see if that helps, does that just sound crazy or what?

Rainbow flip-flops.  They are so comfy that I essentially haven't taken them off in about 2 years.  Not a single ounce of tread left....

I have to wear shoes all the time, because I've got flat feet and bunions.  My feet get really angry if they're not supported in the arch.  Generally, it's Merrell clogs in the winter and supportive sandals in the summer.  I plan on picking up these at some point in the near future.

Darn, i was going to go off about how comfortable scrubs are to lounge around in. Anyway, i am usually barefoot although as soon as winter gets here it will be sheepskin booties. haha.

I love to be barefoot but right now I'm not supposed to due to plantar fascitis.  So, these days I wear crocs most of the time.

It varies usually, but lately I'm supposed to be wearing the stiffest shoes I've got. Which means my MTB shoes.

Hmm, sounds like you should check in with a doc on that one? Is it in the joint or in the toes themselves?

I picked up a pair of Zoot Ultra recovery flip flops last spring and love 'em! My feet are much happier with the support of these shoes. I wear them as much as possible around the house but ESPECIALLY after long runs or bricks. They are a little pricey for flip flops but well worth the extra $$.

Sounds kinda stupid, but it is kinda hard to tell. Generalized pain in that area. Did not hurt at all on my run last night. Not a bit. After I woke this am, the pain is entirely gone. I am gonna try to wear shoes all day and see if that helps.

I ran outside last night, but typically log most of my miles on a treadmill. It also hurts on the bike, I notice it more when have my straps too tight. If I reach down and loosen them it can go a way a bit. I have to keep the laces on my running shoes REALLY loose or it gets aggravated. I know that I need some new biking shoes. For 2 years I have been rocking the Shimano SPD MTB shoes and SPD MTB pedals. I think that a more road specific shoe would probably help, along with some Look style pedals with a bigger platform.

There are just too many variables to track down, do I hurt it running and aggravate it on the bike? Is it the opposite? Do I hurt it walking around barefoot and then aggravate it on the run and bike? The only thing that I am sure of is that I don't hurt it while swimming.

I'm seriously addicted to Birkenstocks. Birkenstock sport insoles in all my shoes including my running shoes, and sandals around the house.

Barefoot or when it is cold my wife bought us each these slippers that have wool on the inside that are all nice and toasty and comfy.  If my feet are beat up from running I will wear those sometimes to make them feel better.

Barefoot or "house shoes"

I have a strict NO SHOES IN THE HOUSE policy.

ick ick ick is all I can say.  seriously, all the grime, dirt, dog poop, gum, spit, snot that you walk over all day you want paced all over your carpets / floors.  ick.

If I had a foot problem rendering barefoot impractical I'd have a pair of supportive shoes that were designated as "house shoes" only, never to see the outdoors.

(segue into my horror at barefooters in locker rooms.  see above comment in re street shoes)

Birkenstocks or barefoot.

Unless I'm in my running shoes or bike shoes, that's all I wear...

On my feet, that is!

Put three kids and a Labrador in the house, and dirty shoes are the least of your worries.    I do share your horror of barefooters (and lollygagging a$$ers) in locker-rooms.

Barefoot.  Around house, outside and after races.  Get those dam shoes off.  You were born barefoot stay that way all you can.  Have done some barefoot on t-mill.   To me a shoe is a brace and bracing makes you weak.

Barefoot around the house and outside whenever possible. Birkenstocks at work. (With socks in the winter.) Vibram FiveFingers when running.

I seriously dislike wearing shoes!!
