Yea I know, this is ridiculous and sappy, but I can't help it. I'm so proud of what Karen accomplished finishing IMKY, it really is one of the most incredible things I've ever been a part of. I saw her through all the highs & lows(and there were plenty of each) over the last 12 months and during race day, and seeing her finally get the reward for what she did was amazing. She's an incredible woman and I'm glad she let me be a part of the experience. She's really inspired me, I've been beaming about her for days now. I just lost what little guy cred I had and I don't care. My girlfriend is awesome.

No guy cred lost...if anything it was just won, or at least an example for others!   It's people like you: boyfriends, girlfriends, best friends, good friends, family that are essential to success out on any course.  Good for you for being there for her!!

Dude, any chance you have a brother in Colorado?

Kudos to you for being a great boyfriend and appreciating your girlfriend so much.  And singing her praises in public.

For sure Karen kicked butt out there and we are all proud of her.

You too are amazing..buying her the bike of her dreams for her to train and race her IM on, being their to suppor her in the ups and downs of IM training, with her being tired a lot, moody...all that goes with IM training, but you supported her and made her IM day more special.

You both rock...congrats to Karen for being an amazing person and Ironman and congrats to you for being an awesome Iron Sherpa..we all need one

Very nice sentiment. You may have lost guy points, but gained man points.

Sorry sir, but I hate to inform you that what you have written is not in any way shape or form an ode. I therefore conclude that you don't really love her, since you couldn't even take the time to put your praise into prose.

Yes, and "loading the dishwasher" does not mean handing your GF a bottle of wine.

Seriously though to the OP...you don't have to worry about dude points; you earned simply "points," and when you cash those in, it's a beautiful day.  Great ode.

Thanks sweetie! How wonderful and sweet of you to write this!

Like I said many times, I couldn't have done the race without you! You were a true Ironsherpa... you got me to the top of the mountain and down. Thank you!

Love you too honey!
