Subject: RE: ZzzzzzZombies Team ThreadHello all, My name is Melissa, i'm new to tri's but am hopeing to do my first next spring. My goal this month is to walk/jog 35 mile. A little back ground info, I decided at the beg. of 08' that I needed to lose weight and get back in shape. I got a treadmill and started jogging. Went from doing nothing to going about 8 mi/day 5-6 days a week. Got horrible blisters on my feet and went to a running store where they fit me with a pair of shoes. Those worked a little better but about 2-3 months out my knees said enough is enough and had to stop running altogether. So backed all the way off for about 2-3 months for my knees to get better. I've always wanted to do a tri, so started playing on the web and found this site. I have learned so much. I printed off the couch to 5k on my way to a tri and am almost 3 months through it. Taking it slow and stready this time and stiking to the 10% rule. I guess that was more than a little info, sorry. SO this month is 35 mile. Can't wait to meet you all and kick the other teams you know what. |
