Master 1895    |  Subject: What have you seen lately that's put a smile on your face?There are those times where you see something that just puts a big smile on your face. For example: I was in New Orleans at a little bar with a live blues band a few weeks ago. There was an older couple dancing. Both were dressed up really nice...he in a suit and her in a very pretty red dress and high heels. They were the only couple on the dance floor. And the way it looked, I bet they felt like the only two in the room. He would slip her a little kiss here and there...and she would give him a little hug. And they kept on dancing! It put a HUGE smile on my face. It was really, really cool to see. Another that I'll pull up online every once in a while when I need to smile is the clip of little Connie Talbot auditioning for Britains got talent. She is so small and cute...and so good. A similar sized group of colleagues riding hybrid and mountain bikes with me in the sunshine on their Sunday morning...training for their first triathlon... A Sydney cycling venue/park at 6am on a week day morning full of people out enjoying and riding their bikes solo, in pairs, in bunches.... The Parramatta River at sunrise on a still summer morning....

I head this thud and look at my backup picking himself up off the ground. He missed the "driveway" (two ruts in the dirt). Still makes me smile even thinking about it. Don't judge just because I didn't say kittens and puppies running in a field of grass under a rainbow! |
