Subject: RE: Female Lasering Question: Boys, please excuse yourselves...This is funny! Only because I was told that swimming was okay, but anything that warmed up my skin was not. I did specifically asked about swimming because I wondered if chlorine was factor, etc. They said no prob. After my first laser treatment two summers ago I got too warm by covering up with a blanket and ended up with painful inflammation where the lasered spots were. You could see each little rectangle perfectly. So, I have taken this advice and do not work out afterwards. I try to schedule my appt at noon or later so I can do something in the morning. I have swam and it's not a problem... I have found in talking to technicians over the years that most of what they say is along the lines of an old wives tale. But from experience, I would try to stay cool for the rest of the day, making swimming an excellent choice. Although the shower afterwards can hurt. This is just like how they say the treatment hurts more on boney spots, etc. I find it hurts more in musclely spots (i.e. my calf, which only gets more painful as the summer wears on) yet the area on my shin and around the ankles is fine. Gosh, I can't wait until I'm done with this... |
