Subject: Clicking Sound When Pedaling
I recently purchase the Cervello P2SL. I had it fitted at the shop where i bought it. When pedaling(pretty much in any gear) my bike is making a wierd clicking sound somewhere around the big chain ring. The bike shop where i bought it is about an hour ride from my house, worst case I will bring it back to be fixed if necassary. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Does it do it in all gears?

Make sure nothing is hitting when the crank goes around.  If not, could be your bottom bracket.

Derailleur adjustment is my first guess.

I had (still have actually) this exact problem and it turned out it was my pedals.  I was CONVINCED it was my bottom bracket and was all set to take it apart, lube it, whatever.  I can almost guarantee it's your pedals.  I have Look Keos that have a spring that flexes when I pedal, so we lubed that up and it's a lot better.  Might be a long term problem, but it helps to know that nothing is "wrong".

likely causes you should check

pedals
Crank / bottom bracket
chain rub on front derailleur
bent front ring

FSA Gossamer's / EXO BB's have given me nothing but problems in this area, finally I got sick of it and got an Ultegra Crank and DA bb. No problems since

Check your crank arm too.  I have that problem every once in a while, and all it takes a quick torque of the crank arm screw and the problem disappears.

If the BB is a sealed cartridge, can it be lubed?

I've wondered what kind of maintenance I should be doing in mine (which is sealed).

I had a short 'chirp' for a while...and every time I looked down to see what was chirping, the chirp would stop!  It was like the Heisenberg thing.  I finally figured it out...my shoe was occasionally brushing the crank.  When I was looking down, my foot would pivot out and it would not rub so the chirp stopped.  This drove me nuts till I figured out what it was.

Probably not you issue though.

I agree with the pedal issue.  Next time you ride try not putting much pressure on your pedal (one at a time) to see if the clicking goes away or quiets down.  I only say this as you say it goes away on down hills so you wouldn't be putting the heavy pressure on the pedal.  I have the clicking noise and have traced it to my right pedal.  If I put pressure on it, it clicks, if I let off and only put pressure on the left the clicking goes away.

Also check your seat post and seat rails.  My old bike started doing that click/creak thing and it was a loose seat rail.

Knees?  Ankles?

I had a weird clicking sound and it ended up being the end of the deraileur cable brushing against the crankarm.

Have you tried a single-leg drill?  If it goes away, it might be the pedal that is no longer clipped.  If it gets worse, it could be the other pedal, BB, seatpost, or anything else suffering more from the additional torque of pedaling one-legged.

I have a P2SL as well and for me the clicking/creaking is the supposedly sealed bottom bracket. I'll probably replace it next season. Such a nice bike but jeez is it noisy.

I had this happening for a while and couldn't figure out what it was.  I finally moved the pedals by hand while they were on the trainer and noticed that it was the magnet on the side of my pedal brushing up against the cadence sensor.  I moved the sensor in slightly and the nose went away.

Check pedals or cleats. I have a pair of new tri shoes that when cleats are attached something moves in the shoe creating the rhythmic snap.
