Do you shower after a lunch time workout before returning to work?  Please only vote if you return to work outside of your home.

DH does not understand how I don't have time to workout at lunch time.

I don't understand how he can return to work, in business attire, unshowered.

I need to know if this is a gender issue.  DH shaves his head.  I cannot return to work with "exercise" hair.  I could go without makeup depending on the day.

Our marriage does not hinge on the outcome of this poll

If you do something else, please feel free to share.

Ew!

About the only workouts I do at lunch are swimming, and even then I at least rinse off in the shower before returning to work. I couldn't imagine doing something where i truly work up a sweat, then get dressed and go to work without showering. Pretty nasty, especially if he's returning to an office.

What's a quick shower take, about three minutes?

I shower quickly afterwards. However, I have to be honest - there have been times I snuck in a run and didn't have a shower available. Just had to splash on the juju and smile

I do typically rinse off after lunch workouts. However they are normally swims, so it's not like I'm all sweaty. Just chlorinated.

Most of the time my lunch workouts are a swim also, so a shower is just natural at that point.  Besides, I want my gear to last, so I like the chlorine (or salt depending on the pool) out of my suit, off the goggles, etc.

However sometimes I do work with a trainer doing some core and/or weights.  Then it's a quick shower because no one in the cubes near me want to smell that.

I guess I'm lucky though, I don't wear anything dressy for work and don't deal with customers (sometimes not even a co-worker for the day)... it's typically shorts, t-shirt, and Chacos for me.

Occassionally get the chance to hit the gym on my lunch break... when I get the chance I make it count so NO WAY could I return without a shower....

I dont worry about make up (although powder is good to reduce some of the redness) but hair is NEVER good after a lunchtime session so I wouldnt go on a day with an afternoon presentation....

I work with 4 females in my office. They would not let me back in the office if I did not shower.

If I couldn't shower, I wouldn't do the workout.  That being said, my workplace is pretty flexible and if I take a little longer than an hour, I can just stay a little later or come in earlier.

Mostly I swim... but always shower. I never did hair or makup anyway, so it's pretty quick for me.

I shower, but in the summer it is hard to stop sweating.  Occasionally, I leave a puddle in my office in the afternoon.

Glad to see zero % on the do not shower options, but I have people at work who skip the shower after a workout. Mostly the weight lifters.

x2

Caveat - I do not re-wash my hair.  I blow dry it to dry the sweaty sections.  I wash my face, but not my eyes (that way I do not have to re-apply eye make-up).  On days that I have meetings in the afternoon, particularly with management or customers, I will re-apply some make-up, but that takes me 2 mins.

No one has ever commented on my appearance in the afternoon nor have I gotten any strange looks, so I think my plan works.  It seems like most of the women in my office do the same thing.

I've done both. Now, my gym is 1/3 of a mile away, so I just shower and walk back to work. But when I have worked places w/out a shower, I do a sitz bath in the restroom and just go back to work.

I'm female, BTW.

Same for me.  I don't care so much about hair and makeup, so I can get a lunch workout in and shower.

Well - It seems like I win this argument!  I wonder if the results would be the same if I did the poll over at Lets Run? DH only runs.  I don't know if he has shower available.   He never smells really bad but his car does LOL.
