IM training secret... put a dog in your jersey.

A small group of us Texas BTer’s, Trin2bfast, Houston Rider, KeriKadi’s husband and yours truly went out for a ride this morning. We’re about 25 miles in the middle of nowhere when we come across what appears to be a ~10 week old puppy in the middle of the road just hangin’ out. While it’s a country road, clearly there’s a truck soon to be coming down the road with this dogs name on it. So Trin2bfast picks him up and says we gotta get her off this road. I’m thinking ok but what are you going to do. Next thing I know I’m helping him balance while he clips in with this dog in one arm. Off we go.

About 2 miles later we come to the first house we see and stop. It’s got few loud dogs so I’m hoping someone comes out of the house and says we’ll take the pup. Wishful thinking. Trin2bfast puts the dog down and tries to coax her to go away. More wishful thinking.

I half joking say, lets cut the ride short and head back to the truck. You can take him home. Next thing I know he’s shoving this dog down his bike jersey.

Freakin’ hysterical! 

So there goes Trin2bfast cruising down the road with this dog in his jersey. I was laughing so hard I got dropped. Or at least that’s what I’m telling BT. KeriKadi’s husband escorted Trin2bfast the 20 miles back to the truck. Yup... 20 miles with a dog in his jersey. Seems the only time the dog got a bit sketchy was when a group of Harley’s went by.

She had a bunch of fleas on her and apparently doesn’t like Shot Bloks as she puked after eating one. Hey we had to give her something to eat! HoustonRider’s sister-in-law said she would give the pup a good home.

So props to Trin2bfast. And now we know his secret to IMFL training. Throw a dog in your jersey.
