Expert  1092   St. Paul, MN |  Subject: Jared ("jarheadjred" on BT) finished Full Iron Rev3!!Not to take ANYTHING away from those who did IM WI (Hydro, Farlig, and others - you guys ROCKED it!), but I have to point out Jared's AMAZING race at Rev3 Cedar Point yesterday. I was out there cheering on my wife in the Half Iron race, and I didn't get to see Jared racing at all. Super bummed I missed him out there (but I may have a photo of him in a pack of swimmers just before I had to leave the swim finish area and sprint down the beach to watch my wife start her wave 1/4 mile away). 1:11 swim 5:57 bike 3:41 run 10:55:38 total 3rd out of 43 in his AG!!! CONGRATS JARED!! Amazing splits for your first Iron Distance race! |

Jared put in tons of disciplined training, and balanced a lot on his plate overall between work and Dad duties, so that makes these results ever more impressive & well-deserved - hard work pays off, and he crushed it out there!! It was an amazing experience and I'm so appreciative to everyone I've met through BT and the Tri-community as a whole... I've been through a ton this year and had a lot of help from various people in various ways to inspire me to keep working for it  I loved my 2nd year of swimming and biking and triathlon and I can only hope that next year is just as good!Anyways, I did post up my race report for people to check out and there are no pics but I do have some on FB that people should be able to view... @jvanis I totally recommend Rev3 events. My only criticism of the company currently is their web management and unfortunate inconsistencies and usability issues with the web site in general (maybe it's just me being a Software Engineer and a bit anal so only I notice it?). But, all-in-all they put on an amazing inaugural event at Cedar Point... |

(I agree about Rev3 - super race, great organization, etc, etc. But their web site is a total bummer. I felt rather uninformed when I went to Knoxville and the way they post results is odd... But I would also recommend them despite that.) |
