Subject: Do Not Order from CustomizedGirl.com
Hi everyone,
I just wan't to give you guys a heads up about this company customizedGirl.com To make a long story short my brother who does not participate in triathlon bought me a long sleeve tri shirt customized with my name on the back from this company but they are advertising the tri logo as swim run bike.  The shirt was nice and expensive so I called to see if they could re-print the shirt with the logo in the correct order and they told me no, you can re-order with a 30% discount but he should have done his research and noticed that it was wrong thats why it customized.  The supervisor of customer service then told me there was nothing she could do for me.

I tried to reason with her and  esplain to her that 26.1 is not the same as 26.2 but she told me basically that that was a marathon for some people.  Very bad service and not willing to be helpfull or admit they are wrong.  tell everyone you know not to order from them here a link to one of the products they are selling when you search for triathlon http://www.customizedgirl.com/design/80452a78f8fe490fad4d66c0afc7e525_1365808

I clicked on your link just to see what the website was all about, and while I was looking around on there, I found this shirt in the "cross country" section, which has the symbols in the right order:  http://www.customizedgirl.com/design/2d84899c8acb89c10cc16ec5082e3b... />
So if they got it right on one shirt, I would have to ask why it isn't right on the shirt you got.  There's no excuse for them to screw it up, and then even more so to not fix it.

If you customize the shirt - both logos are there: S-R-B in the lighter style and S-B-R in the darker style.

You should dispute the charges with your credit card company. Seems they aren't honoring their guarantee.

What was the error? They offer two different logos, you were gifted a logo (that doesn't really make sense to us as Triathletes) but I don't see where the error occurred. Did they spell you name wrong?

the error was that the person buying the gift put triathlon in the search and that is the logo that came up, him, not knowing any better and not noticing as he had said triathlon in the search thought that was the correct triathlon logo. I called them to tell them that one of their logos is not triathlon and could they please re print with proper order and they said no, the person ordering should have done more research.

This is the short story, yes one should not order the wrong logo but also when one searches for triathlon and a swim bike run comes up in a t-shirt company search it should be in the correct order. They could have fixed the problem but refused to do it.

The way I see it, the mistake was made by the buyer - so, the guarantee doesn't really apply.

However, the price of another shirt is a small price to pay for a happy customer...

I ordered shorts from this website, and uploaded my own image to be printed on them. I got them on time and they look exactly like what I previewed them as on the site.

No complaints from this customer.

Based on what I read fromthe OP, they delivered what was ordered, I don't think they are being unreasonable, especially when the shirt has a custom name on it.

While SBR is the traditional format for tri's it's not the only one.

Why should a company that delivers what was ordered be forced to suffer a loss?

I don't see where a mistake was made.  Triathlon does not always have to be swim-bike-run.  The company has a right to refuse to make a new shirt.

On the other hand, as a business owner myself, there comes a time when you have to bend a little.  This is an example of one of those times in my opinion.  The cost of a new shirt is probably worth avoiding the bad publicity like this thread.

Agreed - it's just poor form.  Someone bought a gift. Clearly none of the parties involved in the purchase knew much about the subject when pointed out that they don't quite have the subject right it's in their best interest to fix it - especially if they want to sell more tri-related stuff.

I disagree, the company has gotten exposure to 600+ people that have viewed this thread and if you read through it they seem to deliver what they promise. They even offered to provide an additional custom item at costs. With all due respect, it seems the customer is being more unreasonable than the company.

Looks like a win for the company IMO.

I did not know of this company before this thread, and would consider ordering from them if I wanted something they made.  Nothing offered as evidence of their poor customer service in this thread has resonated with me at all.

Sucks that it came out wrong, but it was ordered wrong.  How is that their fault, and why do they need to fix it for free?  I think they were generous in offering you a discount for a second shirt.

You shouldn't be wearing someone else's underwear. Stick to your own or go commando. Laughing
