... in some South African lottery and all I have to do is call a phone number is South Africa and give them my full name to receive my payment! I might have to travel to Johanessburg to collect payment. Strange that this International Lottery only has a hotmail email addy...

Wow that is so cool.

It must be a lucky day. I got an email from one fellow in Nigeria and another fellow in England who want me to manage transfers of 25 million and 45 million dollars respectively because they can't get the money out of the country. I am so pumped. All I have to do is give them all my banking information so they can transfer the funds to me.

Some days are just plain lucky

With all the distant relatives I have, sometimes it just gets to be a hassle. I want to cry out, ENOUGH! You have put enough money in my bank account! I am rich enough! Leave me alone, all you lawyers for my departed uncles, aunts, kinsmen! I will be your money-launderer no longer!

Sadly, they just keep contacting me, and the millions keep pouring into my bank account.

I've received those before - I like toying with the people on the other end.

"OK, I used to work at a bank, so we'll have to do it this way..."  When they balk at it, I ask them "Don't you trust me?"  I don't normally hear back after that...

you guys need to go to http://419eater.com/

Brilliant stuff!!!  The guy is a scam baiter based out of london who basically scams the scammers.  He gets emails from these guys and gets them to send him pictures holding stupid signs, or even money!!!!!!  Brilliant, elaborately well planned, and funny as hell.  Check it out.

Is this scam the real reason why I'm being duped into coming to Tampa in February?

I got one from someone using a spoof paypal addy, saying some funky email addy had been authorized onto my acount. It says "click this link" if you did not authorize it. So i click, it asks for an email and password. It looked real, had all the paypal logo's and legalspeak. The only thing that gave it away is that paypal ALWAYS uses ur first and last name to address you.

There's a gala? Like a fireman's ball? Tri-suits on the red carpet, burritos for everyone, and awards for the most BT posts while on a company payroll?

LOL, I was bored yesterday and called the 1-800 survey for CVS where I could possibly win $10,000. Then I filled out the Panera survery- but that was only for $2,000. $12,000 could buy a lot of race entries- and probably my own personal coach too.

There's an award??!! Geez... and I was recently berated in PM by a BTer who thinks I spend too much time on BT. He let me know I was a top 5 poster and I was thrilled - where's my tiara  and roses?! Alas, my pleasure only seemed to disappoint him.

You know I'm still waiting for that
1. X-box
2. Tickets for 4 to disneyland
3. My shoes
4. That 10 grand
5. My world trip

And that guy from Panama never called back with his account info either...Hmm.
I can't believe that some people actually fall for those adds.

And when the heck is Bill Gates gonna finally get me that check I was promised for forwarding that email to all my friends?!

You know, it just ain't a good day 'til you get that email from Nigeria. I'm amazed at home many very wealthy people they have there who just can not figure out how to transfer money legally.

And, last time I checked, I did not need any "male enhancement" products. Unless there's something my parents neglected to tell me.... (checks inside her top, again).

Last year, Wired magazine did a great story on the whole Bill Gates email thing.
